Cobalt Parts Interchangeability
ok...a catback IS an exhaust...so thats not exactly a clear question.
If you mean axel back or just a muffler then whoever welds it on will make it fit (aka a reducer pipe to correct sizing, redo the hangers if need be, etc).
So I suppose some clarification is in order...
but for the most part...YES, any ss/sc exhaust component will swap across

Yes ive searched but i always get mixed answers. If i want to upgrade to a 2.4 intake manifold from a 2.2 do i need an adapter plate for the TB? If i buy the upgraded TB (LE5) will my K&N intake still fit because i read somewhere that it wont?
Your intake will most likely work as the spacing difference is minimal.
If you go with the 2.4 throttle body you are going to need to be tuned for it to work correctly. The adapter plate can be made out of plexiglass if you're creative.
You may be going about it a bit backwards...
To switch to an LE5 intake manifold while still using an L61 TB will not really help you. The air has still been metered using the L61 TB and engine program, so there won't be a difference in the air going to the engine just because the pipes are bigger.
If you get the LE5 TB with a proper tune and stick with the L61 manifold, that would work. Crate Engine Depot used to sell a the exact adapter plate you would need for such a job.
Now if you get the manifold and the TB for the LE5, then no adapter required. But as mentioned, you would need a tune to take advantage of the larger TB.

great informative post! why cant people give answers like this more often? anyways thanks man i really appreciate the info and advice
thanks man. does that also go for the 2010 base model 2.2L?
i know the suspension is between the 2005 to 2010. all the struts springs coilovers. **** like that can be changed and the bumpers can too but as far as. the injectors or interior?

So I have a question. I have an 07 ls with Bad-Mab Header, ZZP downpipe w/ cat, and a CAI, would I then be able to get a used supercharger w/ intake mani and TB as well as valve springs, rods, pistions, off an 07 SS and #42 injectors from ZZP. and supercharge my LS?
No point in using the ss valve springs, they are all the same. Is just buy everything you need from mongo to SC the engine. No need to touch the internals if you're fine being at about 250 whp max.
Brands for what parts exactly. Moog is a pretty good one for most parts but there are also normally better parts that cost more.
BTW the LNF rear trans mount does work on a F23 trans cobalt and for the front just get the Powell F23 rotated mount.

urm. i know the pins are different for the connectors. there is an adapter for it i believe though. why are you trying to upgrade your TB though? seems pretty pointless. if you want a big TB get an LS4 one but i thought i had heard somewhere there was a con to it.
