Drumrush's build thread
Ya quite a lot actually, you may see lower boost numbers than you expect because of it, but you will still be flowing more air, since boost is just a measure of restriction.
yeah. it turns out my blower has a smoothflow hub on it, so instead of putting on the gm stage 2 pulley im thinking about a 3.1 pulley. maybe even a 3.2 to go easier on the engine, but at the same time i want that extra boost
ok guys i think i have a problem.
this is the alternator bracket with the tensioner installed, correct?

and it appears that the corner is cracked off... what is supposed to be here? just another mounting spot?

the pulley needs to be up more. The tensioner should be straight up and down.un bolt the bottom bolt on the actual tensioner shock and rotate the pulley assembly up then rebolt it down.Make sense?See how the shock is diagonal? It needs to be straight up and down with the bracket.
im stuck between a 3.0 and 3.1 inch pulley.. what do you guys think? i want to go a bit easier on the engine, so maybe even a 3.2? how much power would i be losing going from a 3.0 to 3.1 to 3.2?
From the short look of the build list i read you have the mods and gauges to be able to know what's going on, Some people have gone lower then 3.0 on pulley without an issue, It's hard to say exactly how much hp you would lose cause every car/tune is different, Just dont beat on her and you will be fine with the 3.0 just keep an eye on her!
ok. im thinking 3.1 to start off, and then i might drop a pulley size after a dyno if im nowhere close to 250whp. my goal is to stay right around 225-230. plenty of power, but not pushing the limits either
