hmm thats the thing, i sanded the hell out of it to have a nice level surface to paint, and then thoroughly cleaned it with an industrial grade degreaser

maybe the degreaser made it do that. When you clean after prep, use a solvent base cleaner. That will get all contaminants off.

the primer went down without a problem, and then the paint just got screwed up on top of the primer. so im thinking it was the humidity

I've never seen humidity cause fish eyes.Unless it was high enough that water was forming on the blower.I dunno I also live in AZ where we don't really have humidity lmao so I guess its possible.

i removed the metal ring in the hole to make the opening bigger

and that gave me enough room to screw it in

it seems to have a good seal, but im not positive. i might fab up a seal of some sort to put under it

the bolt hole on the intake manifold for the map.does it go all the way through into the runner or is it blocked off.Like if you left the bolt out, would it leak boost/vacuum?

I didn't think to pull the ring out like you did so I made an alternate hold down. But now since I know you can pull the ring out ill do that with a bolt

did you have to seal the sensor in or did the stock o-ring on it seal it good enough?

i have a stock lsj map sensor as well, but im too lazy to try and figure out the wiring for it

I have the stock LSJ map that I wanna use as well but I need to find a pigtail for it.Our Stock MAP's only read 2.7 psi max and the LSJ sensor can read IAT2's,which you would have to pull the IAT1 wire from the MAF and run it to the LSJ map.But as for the stocker in the manifold,It's the same size in diameter as the LSJ so it seals just fine.

I will indeed.Just gotta find out what wires what on the LSJ map and match it to the L61 wiring, then find out which wire on the MAF is for IAT1 and wire that to the LSJ MAP so you can see IAT2's.I know how to do it,just need a detailed diagram of the wiring.
