The 2.2 5 speed is good for around 220 trq. I'm assuming it can easily take 250+ with a good clutch.

Yeah, but all you need to do is upgrade the clutch and flywheel

with a good clutch and flywheel, ms ure it can handle more, remeber this is the same tranny the cavalier guys are running, the main draw back is the clutch, its more expensive for a 5spd to go fast, the auto can take a good 300+, but the stock 5spd will slip before you hit 200

only upgrade the clutch and flywheel? haha i work for a chevrolet dealership and that job under warrenty time is 9.9 hours. multiply that by the dealer rate and see how much that comes up to! thats the only downfall about a clutch upgrade. its not something most can do in the driveway, and you got to fork over some cash to get it done...

lawl, ya

anyone know if a lightweight alternator pulley would do any good ????

also just purchased a lightweight alt pulley and lightweight crank pulley
figured if im going to spend the money for a dyno tune and the dyno time i might as well get the most out of it

alright, so injectors are in and teh dyno tune is sched for tues 3/17
ill have to rewire my harness for the injectors, but my car will be down for 2 days anyways due to new cams, tb, injectors, etc until vince stops by and flashes me right before we head to the dyno for a tune (will just do a rough "make it run" tune since the dyno is 1.5 miles away if that).

now...to inlist some local install help
