Got the 2.4L sport rotors on with new callipers.
boy did I good this evening…
got the drivers side on in a breeze then I got to the passenger side and I’m like what the hell, I got two brand new sets of small rattle clips! I’m like wtf yenno. So I have the bright idea we’ll I’ll just cut the clips in half and replace them with the right clips tomorrow. Got it all assembled, found the other side of the right clips lol, cut my hand real good on them taking them off after hahah.

then my genius really kicked into high gear, went to pull off my right rear drum and I left the parking brake on… omg… needles to say I spent a good hour putting my shoes back together afterwards ugh.
but it’s assembled! Brakes were bleeded and she is looking good!
quit my job and going to another dealership after tomorrow, gonna spend the next two weeks at the cabin yuuuuus!

Happy Canada Day my Brotha. Damn lol. sounds like you had a dusty time for a minute my brotha lol. Glad you got then on though and everything sorted. This week has been slow with me doing the car **** I wanted lol. My little brother is getting married this weekend plus I got a new girl and well she hungry for the "D" 24/7 haha. But hopefully by the end of next week i'll get everything done. The only thing i done so far has been strut bar and that looks really good plus i got the old belt off and old tensioner off. That's as far as I've got brotha lol. Post some pics let me see the new rotors for the front. Eventually you need to do the full conversion brotha it'll be worth it we both know that. And you'll have a larger rear axle bar compared to the fe1 rear axle bar you got now. I think fe3 from my car is 22mm in the rear and fe5 from cobalt ss is 24mm. I would look on ebay or this junkyard website I deal with sometimes.

Hey sorry I ran out of data, happy Canada day lol! That’s sick man good for you and the little bro! Haha that would be crazy! At that point I’d just buy a wrecked LNF with an auto trans, rob the front knuckles, wheel bearings, axles and the rear beam with bearings. Maybe one day ahaha if I get way too much time on my hands

New rotors and painted calipers look good brotha. I got everything done late last night on the car. i'm heariing a slight squeek but the brake pedal is firm and brake power is good. Overall I'm happy with it and the strut bar did make a difference especially around turns. Now I gotta work on getting the final parts for the supercharger. I'll post up some pics probably tomorrow brotha.

Slight squeek is normal, ,mine went away after a few days. I love my new front brakes! I'm going to bleed them properly though this week lol cause they are a little soft haha. I bought my rear drums a long time ago and put them on a few days ago, they had built up a little rust on the inside so they are still making a little noise but should be gone soon enough. Please we need pictures!
I started my new job as an Assistant Parts Manager, much better environment! Did some tuning on my car today, it is running insanely well! Took some more crap out of the car I don't need, like the rear seat bar, the seat strikers, child seat latches etc. Pretty soon I'ma have to go racing.

Was also playing around with my passenger seat yesterday. The stupid airbag / seat sensor light is always on. Tried unplugging things seeing if it would go away. Would be nice if there was a BCM code I could just turn off and remove all that wiring

Here you go brotha lol. Like I said I had a squeek and I tried adjusting **** but it was still there so I took it to my local favorite shop and they fixed that for me. Overall I'm happy with the new brakes and I needed new brakes anyway. Now I gotta deal with the bodywork and get my rockers fixed as my safety inspection sticker is up and my shop said while it was up on the hoist that the rockers are in bad shape and won't pass. Oh well I had that front lip and rear lip to put on my car anyway so I'll get that work done plus new rockers all at the same time. Hopefully in a cuple of weeks. all them braje parts I bought I gotta pay my credit card down its blown up brotha. And congrats on the new job as well brotha. Hopefully they will be a good fit for you.

Tks brotha. Its been a long process with this car. You helped me a lot with getting the right parts and that's why any parts I saw that were good that you didn't have I mentioned to you to get like fuel line and brake lines. Not a lot of people out my way dumped this type of money on these G5's or Cobalts where I'm from and they mostly rotted to **** out my way in Nova Scotia due to salt roads in the winter. And yes once I do my body work then the final step is the blower. I've tried to do everything properly with my build brotha the same as you have which include high quality parts. Its taken me three years to get to this point. But once I'm done know a lot of work was done by myself it just makes it more satisfying when someone gives me a compliment. So what's next for your car brotha? Build motor? You take it to the track yet this summer?

Hey no problem at all!
Well it's running top notch right now, just took it on highway 1 just now, 20 degrees of timing, 11.50 min AFR with methanol, shifts right at 6950 in all gears. clears 2nd gear at 130km/h, it just screams! it's amazing! I think when it cools down a little bit I'll take it drag racing and its gonna do a mid 13 easy. Apart from that, yeah if it holds together one day it'll get a built motor and a tvs. But for now just do some oil changes, bleed the brakes and she is good. Maybe try to do some more weight reduction

Nice brotha. Yeah from the sounds of the video she sounds nasty brotha and lots of trq. Yeah I can't wait boost and see what times I can get. I might get a draggy so I can record my times. I be very happy with 14's on the 3.1 pulley brotha. And yeah I think you can get 13's easily especially you keep doing weight reductions. Only reduction I did was my spare tire and jack. I'm afraid to touch anything else brotha lol. Have you ever dynoed your car? I be interested to see what it makes brotha.

Thanks man, it sounded so much better in person, but you can see it did a one wheel peel, the right side put down rubber and you can see the smoke. Just butt dyno, and the one I did today, I'd say its faster than it's ever bin. Like don't change anything and go to a strip best it's ever been lol. I took off my rear seatbelts and tried to put them back on but they wont release lol, so at this point i've gone all out,

I figured you must be around 2800 pounds or a little over brotha. These are light cars brotha and that's why once you add power they have a really good power to weight ratio.

I'm hoping to be around 2600 if you factor out me, fuel, and washer fluid. Every time I pass the weight station there's a truck there though lol. I'll get to see soon enough, I pass one about once a week going into town.
