Yeah the car really moves now. Very violent. Spoke to my tuner and he suggested that 25 degrees would be the max max I could do and that would be like over the line of caution haha so I'm gonna leave it at 22 it's running healthy, see what she does I guess. I'll probably go again in a month and a half. Met a girl in the big city going to a rodeo this week lol and then next week shes coming to my cabin lol so poor car won't make it for next test and tune
haha nice brotha. Some times the car stuff gotta wait lol. Trust me I'm in the same situation lol. I got two on the go right now and they both want the "D" lol. Yes 25 degrees would be too much and i say anything over 22 would be a little skecthy brotha so I agree keep it at 22 for awhile and go back to the track to hopefully improve on your times. Yes once I install them on the car I'll upload more pics. I'm taking the car to the body shop hopefully by end of next week. I'll probably wait until they are done and then throw the lights in after brotha. Yeah I'm going to keep my original lights and might send them off for retrofits but I looked at that dude who does them and he is not cheap brotha. Like over 800 bucks for retrofits its insane brotha that's why for now I went the cheap ebay route lol.

Yeah I hear ya there brother. I really like her, she's worth it!
Yeah 25 would be very sketchy. Who know's maybe it would take the timing but there has been a major audible differences from 20 to 22 like I thought it was violent before it's scary now lol.
Gotcha gotcha well upload when you get a chance! Yeah I know those are super expensive, I don't think anyone else makes cool clear headlamps though... I'm not too concerned about my car's body though. Looks like a stock G5, waved a cop the other day doing 130 lol would not get away with that in most cars

Okay so it did another 14.1....... 0.05 seconds faster. I just need to shave 0.1.

Not sure how I'm gonna get there... Timing now at 22.5. Extreme limiter at 7050, targeted shifts at 7000. I think there's two more test and tunes this year. Next time I suppose I'll try gutting the passenger seat and carpet, took a look yesterday and that carpet looks pretty thick and heavy. Don't know if I should increase shifts and timing more or just try for a cool day with wind in the right direction

Yeah there's only two more test and tune's this year. SO I think I will try 23 degrees and with 7100 targeted shift points and I'll gut the car completely, I'll pull the passenger seat and remove all that nasty thick carpet.

Yes gut the interior and take out jack and spare tire out of the trunk. Yeah i would not go past past 23 degrees brotha and 7100 for limiter is max i would do also. I think if you do all of this before your next track session you'll get 13's easily brotha.

Spare tire and jack are already long gone. Car is gutted from the rear seats back but there some really heavy carpet that overlaps the edge of the rear seats with the front, and I suspect it's gotta at least be 20-30lbs... then the passenger seat, and maybe interior door trim panels, who knows maybe I can take the dash out lmao ahaha but yeah 23 and 7100 and I won't go any higher it's already scary.... It's just so ******* close and and least I know now that 14.1 isn't a mishap, it's done 3 - 14.1s now. Man I had so many people cheering me on last week, starting to become somewhat of a regular, the moment it hits 13.9 I'm gonna be so ******* happy lol

Yes my brotha and you know I'm pulling for you. But just think who the HELL would ever think a Pontiac G5 would be 13 second car lol. It's insane brotha. Like myself if I can get mid 14s once my car is boosted I'll be soo pumped! I figure once the aire gets a bit cooler you'll get that 13 second pass. I'm sure of it brotha. Oh and an update for me. So my car is finally going into the bodyshop in a few weeks to get rockers repaired plus get the cobalt ss front lip installed and g5 gt coupe rear lip installed plus a few other things, both new fenders etc. And I finally found a mint shape oem cobalt ss heat exchanger. Got it off ebay from a salvage yard in texas so its rust free brotha and in mint shape. Now i just gotta buy the option b to go along with the GM dual pass I bought in the spring. The plan is to have it boosted by early next spring brotha. I haven't been trying to rush any portion of this build brotha.

I know lol. Like I had some new spectators come up to my car and asked to check it out, I showed them and they were like "yeah we saw you take off a couple of times and we expected you to be really slow etc.... but you were jumping ahead from launch against some way faster cars." Felt really cool to be pushing 14.1011 with street tires and a stock engine. Overhead another guy talking while we were in the lanes and he completely understood my license plate which has never happened.. it was hilarious!
Right on! Good builds take time you're making good progress sounds like its pretty much there now. You'll have a very fine car lol. I started getting surface rust on my driver's door in the middle haha and I'll I'm thinking is weight reduction lol.

Not so sure if the car liked 22.5 after today's drive home.. hmmm

But on another note, if I can lower my reaction time to 0.5 (the minimum allowed time before a red light) id be in 13s!
Cause I ran 0.7039 and 14.1011
If I hit a 0.5 that same 14.1011 would be 13.89.
Please correct me if I'm wrong anyone reading but to my understanding I may have a new strategy!

If you combined by best 60 foot of 0.6599 to the most recent 14.1011 that would be 14.067
I can do this. If not skill but dumb luck I can leave a 10th of second earlier

reaction time has nothing to do with your time. The clock doesn’t start until you leave the line. You can sit there for a whole minute and your et time will be the same. Reaction time only matter if you want to get to the end of the track before the other guy.

Glued my headlamp mounting tab back together. We're going drag racing tomorrow!!! Feeling optimistic, I removed the carpet last night it must've been at least 50lbs, maybe another 10lbs in trim is out and I will remove passenger seat when I get there so that should be about 100lbs gone, might enough to shave 0.1011, we'll have to wait and see!

Awesome brotha. Keep me posted on how you do this weekend. I take my car into the body shop next week to get those front and rear lips put on and get my rockers repaired finally. This will be the last amount of work before I put her away. Hopefully the bodyshop wo'nt take too long. I wanted to get the car in last month but the owner was too busy and couldn't fit me in.

I got a good feeling also got a little uneasy feeling lol. Girlfriend will be coming with me, with ambient temps and the weight I've taken out it should do it, should should should should!!!!
On a separate note there was a little bit of metal in my oil last oil change. Well nothing in the filter, nothing in the actual oil but the magnetic tip on my drain plug had a little grey metallic clump on it, wasn't super gritty or shinny, just grey sludge. I think If I can push it just a little more and then she's gonna get a break and take it easy for a while.

Carpet is no where near 50 pounds lol. I had to replace mine and the box they sent it in was like 15 pounds.

Not to be rude but I don’t recommend any tire for drag racing unless it’s a slick or a drag radial. That’s the way to get the best time.
