Oh ****, didn’t know they offered that.
Check out RPM motor sports they got stock again on some quite reasonably priced boosted reference/ return style kits.
Condensate pump wouldn’t stop running last night actually, did some diag at 12:30 in the morning but knew I’d only cause more trouble that tired. Turned my furnace power off, slept in the cold..
this morning pulled it apart and found the discharge line picked up a blob of dust. Put it back together and it expelled all the water in float immediately and shut off: perfect.
Sounds good brotha i'll check them out. And yeah zzp must of just added this new part. I also heard they are coming out with a stage 2 intercooler pump soon also. Not sure how much better it will be to the stage one pump that we both got now. Yeah fingers crossed brotha you got all the issues fixed. It was a full week of dealing with my furnace crap and two pipes bursting. One of the main things I don't like about owning a house lol. Hopefully that's the end of it for you brotha.
What do you think of this spacer? I'm thinking of getting it then I could run a 2.9 pulley since it says you need a smaller pulley once this spacer is installed.
Update! So new axle seal is installed brotha. Ended up tackling it over the weekend. And you were right it ended up being the rubber seal not the steal cylinder seal. However with the age of it I decided to replace it all to avoid another problem months down the road. So far so good with no leaks. Also I decided I wanted to upgrade my stock front sway bar and decided to buy a used sway bar off of a 2006 Cobalt SS/SC. its larger than ours stock brotha. I think yours is either 18 or 20 mm and mine is I think 21 or 22 mm. I read the Cobalt ss/sc one is 24mm so it should make a difference and since i'm pulling the entire front end apart with all the other new suspension parts I figured get it done at the same time brotha. So what is new with you brotha?

I'd recommend the phenolic spacer over using the supercharger spacer. I have one of these spacers at home, I need to machine my snout to fit a smaller pulley on otherwise I would have installed mine. I also find your gonna need to silicone the spacer between the supercharger and manifold or very carfully get the actual gasket on. My dowel pins aren't long enough to hold the gasket over top of the spacer. I'd say this spacer is more of a utility to offset supercahrger pulley size and the perks of more 1/8npt ports. The phenolic spacer is cooling mod on it's own that just happens to offset pulley size nicely too.

Sweeet, good call man! I bought a dog yesterday, what a night! the car won't be getting much attention for a little while.
I'm using your stock sway bar FE3 it's 21 or 22 mm, stock FE1 being 18mm. I tried zzp's bar once too I couldn't get it to stop grinding/ banging on stuff, would definitely recommend sticking with FE5 oem gm stuff or maybe powell if he makes something.

Ok sounds good brotha lol. I figured it wasn't as much of a benefit than the other manifold phenolic spacer would be anyway. So at least I know now not to mess with it lol.

Oh damn lol. You know what comes next after the puppy then its a baby j/k lol. Yeah I was looking at zzp's sway bar as well. It did look pretty good but as you said fitment issues were not worth the hassel brotha. I actually ended finding this was online via a ebay junkyard seller. The price was very reasonable. Just hoping for a not too difficult install lol. Ok that is good to know about the size of the fe1,fe3 and fe5. I hope it makes a good amount of steering difference plus along with Powell read sway bar. She should handle like its on rails lol. So overall how much time did it take to ins your fe3 bar in your car? I just need something to reference brotha lol. I know it's going to be easy lol. And also after you got the fe3 sway bar installed how did it drive?

Haha I hope not! lol this guy's already a bit of a handful but he's amazingly awesome thus far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does your car have a double slot saddle? If that's the case you might be able to get away with ZZP's bar but I would trust a GM one more regardless.
ZZP's bar had a great feel, it just didn't work going over bumps (for me an FE1 car....). At first, the bar had enough force to pull my one slot saddles from the cradle, upgraded to double slot saddle and I still had issues going over bumps (metal on metal noise), tried a whole slew of different things and in the end I gave up, slapped in a painted junkyard FE3 bar and never looked back.
It took my shop like 20 minutes to slap it in way back when, maybe an hour at home, worst case 2hrs.
ZZP's bar really did make the car seem like it was on rails but I think the FE3 bar is a little more street-able IMO I have lots of fun hitting turns now throwing the car around and it's so so much better than the FE1, that just seemed flimsy throwing the car into corners with that crap..
I uploaded pics just to show you the differences in sway bar geometry/ curvature of the bars zp/gm

lol nice my brotha. What type of dog did you get? I love animals especially dogs. I had a Pitbull shepherd mix and absolutely loved him as well as my little girl. Unfortunately we had to put him down a little over 3 years ago now due to cancer. I miss him terribly brotha. They really are an extension of your family and you bond very quickly which i'm sure you probably already are finding out now lol. Yeah tks about telling about the fitment issues with the zzp bar. I can see why people said it was a bitch to install as it doesn't follow the same lines as the stock one. Plus I heard going over bumps was a problem which I do not need brotha lol. I think i'll be very happy with the cobalt ss/sc bar because its oem like you said and it fits correctly as opposed to aftermarket ones like zzp. Yes I have the 1 hole bracket design like you, which is also the same one used for the SS/SC. I know the two hole one was for the LNF version sway bar. Plus with the Powell rear sway bar the combination as you know is damn good brotha.

He is a bichon, 12weeks old now, he very much is a baby haha. Same. We put the dog I grew up with ( also a bichon ) down a few weeks back, broke my heart seeing her in pain.. She was my sister, this little guy is now my child.
I think 1 slot were used only for 05 SS's, (according to a post by maven) 06+ (lsj and lnf) used 2 slots. Nonetheless if it worked from the factory from certain years with the big boy bar, it works.2 slots would be an improvement but not necessity.. I think you'd be making the right choice to stick with GM stuff in this instance as appose to after market. I wish I used the fe5 bar, was rushing at the time tho to get my car back in working order and decided to just go up one size to fe3 after having bad luck with a massive aftermarket bar.

Yeah those little dogs are chick magnets brotha haha. You'll score a woman no problem with one of those dogs lol. Yeah I should get the sway bar on Monday. And yes agree oem is the best option for our cars. And yeah I asked a few people on the forms and 1 hole is fine especially since it wont be much difference in size from my original 22mm bar going to 24. One of things I love about our cars because we got soo many interchangeable parts between the ecotec platform.
Well I would make the distinction first whether its a leak or a seep. If it is indeed a leak, fluid is being flung everywhere, your car is leaving a trail going down the street or there are puddles under your car, definitely would replace the seal, possibly yes try an OEM axle. A non refurbished axle, a non-worn axle, would in theory have the tightest tolerance between axle and seal.
My car has had a seeping RF axle seal from the factory. Replaced the axle and seal a few times now, it always comes back. Thinking the RF side simply has more play, compound that with solid mounts and its bound to keep wearing down and blowing over time.
BRO FML lol. Axle is leaking again from the new seal and its a steady drip now. Discovered it last night when I took my car out for a rip. At first glance I thought maybe it was a engine oil leak. So this morning I got underneath her properly and its leaking from the damn seal again. So this damn thing lasted two weeks before leaking again brotha. It cant be the new seal kit I installed both the rubber seal and the round cylinder seal to be safe. I'm convinced now its this cheap ass cardone axle that's giving me the problems. i'm going to buy a used oem axle off of ebay and hope for the best. Starting to get very frustrated with this brotha. So does your axle seal still leak? What did you end up doing to solve the problem? Get an oem axle? I know you said oem will give the best seal in theory between the axle and the transmission.
Can you get NAPA axles in NS? I have those in mine; NAPA is really good quality.
yep so its either going to be Brand new Napa or oem. which in your opinion is better especially if I can find a low mileage used one off of ebay for a fair price. For comparison my original drivers side axle is still fine and my car is an 07.
I've used NAPA axles in my GTI and my Cobalt for most of the last decade. I have NAPA F23 axles in my Cobalt now with 400hp. I haven't had any issues.
I know the NAPA LSJ axles were actually an upgrade and most vendors ended up rebranding them as their own and selling them as "Stage 1" axles.
OE is good too though. You KNOW OE will fit and work... and if the issue persists, that it's because of something else.
yeah I decided to buy oem off of ebay. had 97000 miles on it so pretty low. Came to $125.00 Canadian with the exchange rate. My local Napa wanted over $200 Canadian plus tax minus the core charge fee.
I never did any of the ones with a core; always the "NAPA Premium CV Shafts" product line. Interesting on the price difference; passenger side axle for me is $98.99, minus 10% for a AAA discount. Part # NMD 949055
With the exchange rate, that'd be right about the same as the used axle (it's about 1.00 USD to 1.23 CAD right now).

Yeah that's the only crappy thing the parts in Canada are usually a bit more. Fingers crossed this low miles oem one I just bought will last me a bit. If it don't then i'll try Napa. I'm hoping this one last me awhile though because once I strap on my m62 I don't wanna have problems with axles breaking every few months or less.
Happy Canada Day Bro. Nothing really to update other than I painted my new front sway bar red. Came out really good and i'll be putting that on shortly. Just waiting for the used oem axle that should come hopefully next week. I also ordered the turbo tech engine mount to go along with the TTR tranny mount inserts. That should stiffen everything up in the car really good. I know my stock engine and tranny mounts are shot after 14 years of use lol.

Noice, happy Canada day to you as-well!
Well this morning I noticed my battery light came on and behold, my supercharger decided it didn't wanna wear a belt this morning and spit it's pulley out.
Not sure If I can just press it back in or what lol,
Red Loctite it back on and we shall see if it stays
Fingers crossed my brotha. Do you think it might be time to switch to a complete LSJ Belt system? That way you hopefully won't have anymore issues with the belts slipping off and doing damage.

Next time I promise lol.
it would definitely help. I haven’t been to great aligning my belt properly, to my understanding a double sided LSJ belt and drive system would solve that problem very easily.
i assume the belt was used misaligned for too long, it wore over time, got pulled towards the supercharger, jumped, fell under the pulley and pulled the modular hub out.

it’s in there now though, should hold lol..
Yup I hear ya brotha. I say just keep an eye out for any ebay listings you might get lucky.
update: so my buddy is finally not busy and offered to help me get all the suspension parts on. I'll let you know how she feels after the first test drive brotha lol. And unfortunately I could not find that flange nut in the size I needed so like I told ya i'm just going with the fe5 rear axle bushings instead. Hopefully later down the road I might install the twisting beam bushings at a later date. Eitherway I know the car will be much improved over stock. Also I got a fuel line or vapor line leak or both lol. i'm probably going to go with that zzp fuel line kit and innertube vapor line kit and just re do the entire fuel system that way i'll safe once the blower is on. I also saw ottp are selling a kit but using PTFE lines for maximum protection. ZZP are just using 6an lines and indicate it up to e85 safe. Not sure which one to get honestly brotha lol.
PTFE can handle higher pressures, higher temps, and resists chemicals much longer than rubber blends. PTFE also doesn't allow gas/e85 to permeate and cause fuel odor. Other differences between the kits are OTTP uses crimped fittings and ZZP uses reusable screw together fittings.
