Hey brotha just seeing this now. No the install was very straight forward honestly and In didn't have drill any new holes. This mount bolts right up the stock location. Also make sure you have the mount pointing in the right direction. The new mount even indicates that. Also make sure you brace the engine once the oem upper tranny mount is off but I figure you know that anyway from installing the other mounts you have. Also here is the link to the trq specs from ottp website. I mean the only other thing that was a slight pain was having to get the fuse box out of the way for clearance to get the old mount out and the new ottp mount installed. Hope this helps you out brotha

Sounds good brotha let me know if you need anything else and how she feels once you take it for a test drive after the install.

Will do.
Got tired of my PCV system freezing today, was on my way to work and it sounded like a kettle boiling. Pulled over pulled my PCV line off the valve cover and **** ton of air de-pressurized. Going to run an open valve cover for a few days, ordered a oil cap breather and hopefully that doesn't freeze on me lmfao

took the thing for a short drive, if anything, there's less vibrations, really nice!

Okay very slight vibration on the highway with the new mount. Nothing compared to when first having the other mounts done. Car definitely feels a lot sturdier

Sweet my brotha. It's a really good mod and it will give you that extra bit of control at the track this year. It's the reason I did mine was because even with the other solid bushings and mounts I still felt the slight movement. Once the upper tranny mount was on that was completely gone brotha. Mind you I never got to test the limits due to throttle body issues and tranny slippage lol. I'm glad you got it installed so you can see for yourself brotha. When I see a really good mod like that I like to share because honestly there aren't that many modded g5's around my area. Yes a few ofcourse but mostly cobalts and as we both know the G5 is the forgotten half brother to the Cobalt and the Saturn Ion is like the ugly half sister. I've actually never saw a redline ever in my life down here in Scotia. Ironically the one and only Redline I saw was a few years ago when I went to see my best friend who lives in Kelowna BC lol

Absolutely, little bit here, little bit there, it all goes a long way. It definitely feels like the sturdiness is a lot more even now, I feel I've gotten use to that little bit of movement on the left side, I'll have to get use to that being gone now. I appreciate it bro, I stopped checking sites for a while there, I didn't even notice ZZP's new fuel line kit either when you mentioned it..
No there aren't too many modded G5's at all and I don't think I've ever seen a redline in person actually or a SAAB 9-3, that would be super coooool to have

So I got a question for you brotha. Did you use high temp paint to when you painted your supercharger? I'm going to repaint mine before I put it on so I want to be sure what is the best paint. I was thinking of using high heat tremclad bbq paint. I've used it before in the past on my header and its really good and never burned off or chipped off. Do you remember what brand you used? I know other brands like vht paint and duplicolor are good to.

Originally I used a bottle hemi orange mopar engine specific paint, but after taking the supercharger on/ off a few times I marked it up and went over it again with VHT red caliper paint. I don't think the supercharger is getting that hot really, something that can withstand 200F would be more than enough imo

Tremclad is fantastic. I used the stuff to paint a rusted firepit, and an old BBQ to use for camping. Just make sure your prep is 100%, the heat will find points of failure in your paint job.
Also rated for 600+C (1200-ish F)

sounds good brotha. I think i'll just go with the tremclad bbq paint lol. It worked good on my header and downpipe I painted a few years ago and has held up pretty good. The can says its rated for 650c or 1200f so if it can withstand exhaust heat like that the supercharger should be fine. I'm going to go with a gloss silver color to keep it looking oem. I'll let you know how it turns out once I do it in the spring time.

Yup tremclad has been my go to for years. I used the high temp bbq paint on my header and downpipe a few years ago and its held up very well so that's what i'm going to go with for the supercharger. Plus it has primer built in so as long as you do a decent prep before hand which I know how to do it will be fine.

Anyone know or recommend capping off the valve cover and intake ports with the oil cap breather? Or should I leave the PCV hose on?

The breather is just going to make a mess. I remember when I had my sentra spec v and I tried the breather and it was mess of oil all the time so I went back to using a ugly pcv hose but no more mess anyway. Are you having problems with your catch can brotha?

Yes no doubt brotha. I'll get some pics this spring when I tackle those projects. Going to pant my new header at the same time.

Well my catch can froze up last winter, So I haven't tried using it this year. I ran a hose straight from the valve cover to the intake, and the condensation is freezing up the line and building up ice in my intake. So the breather is a little saftey net imo, as long as I smell gas I know the crankcase pressure is venting. I talked to ZZP they said don't cap off the ports

Or perhaps I'll have to get a battery blanket, wrap it around my silicone intake coupler or something

yeah I never had that issue before. Mind you NovaScotia in the winter never really gets below minus 20. Last week was minus 18 with windchill. Yeah definitely don't want to cap off anything because its eventually going to lead to problems brotha. I would eventually look for another style of catch can and also I would look for a beater to drive and leave the G5 home on super crappy days. You gotta think this way you got a ton into your car now between time spent working on it and money for all the mods and maintenance. The best thing I did was get another car as a daily my brotha. I would check kijji seriously and see what you can get. This time of year people are hurting for cash so you could probably get a good deal on a decent car or small pickup truck like a ford ranger or gmc truck.

I'd say we probably average -30C, it was -50C a week or two ago. But I think it's just the ram air on the highway, not giving engine heat a chance to soak everything. I was thinking for a catch can heater, I could use an oil pan heater and it would stick right on, but was reading that it probably wouldn't get enough power to actually heat it well.. Maybe a coolant heated catch can...
I know I need a beater, really want a truck with 4x4

I've also wondered though, I had a no start earlier this winter and tried cranking it too many times, changed the oil just to be safe incase I introduced gas into the oil, all that was available was conventional oil. I know synthetic has a lower freezing point, was thinking that might possibly contribute to my freezing PCV issue idek

Damn bro. I had no idea it got that cold up there. Yeah I would look to see what you can find. You might get a good deal on a truck like you said.
