Tuning with zzp? I’m still using their NA transmission tune, I really like it. I found their supercharged trans setting a bit too aggressive for city driving, but I do plan on flashing it back for a day at the drag strip
Yeah the only thing I don't like about the bumper is the dealership I bought it from had that stupid front license plate holder on it. I been meaning to remove it but got lazy and never did. So once I get the car boosted will be the perfect time to remove that junk lol. Yeah i'm tuned currently by trifecta. I went more aggressive with line pressure so it pulls hard for an auto lol. Yeah if you ever swap to abs disc you wont regret it bro.

that really sucks, wasn’t sure if front plates were a thing there but looked it up saw they got rid of them in 2017..
haha maybe one day with a twisting beam axle too! Next, I really want to build my engine, started a spread sheet a few weeks ago, then I think many more things will become justifiable.

Yup definitely going to toss that thing in the trash once I remove it lol. Yes brotha get the twisting axle beam. I actually bought the twisting powell rear bushings from a really good dude off this site. Once I get all these parts installed i'll let you know especially those bushings. Might be a better option than the whole axle beam for the time being. What you up to on the weekend brotha?

haha that a boy lol. Probably just chill with my girl and the kid. This corona crap still forces everybody to be anti social unfortunately. Now that I got the supercharger used parts I'll start cleaning and looking things over good. Yeah i'm hoping those powell rear bushings will be really good along with all the other suspension parts i'm getting. I'm just tired of all the damn clunks my car makes due to its wornout suspension parts it has on it currently. Pretty sure my front tranny mount is shot to because everytime the car moves forward from a stop and I give it gas I hear a damn bang so its engine movement I know. Thankfully i'm doing turbotech engine mount and tranny inserts. Just soo many oem parts are worn I got to replace lol. Oh well once that's done it'll feel like a new car again hopefully then I'll add the power after with the M62 and get dat boost baby lol

I hear yeah there, this ain’t no vacation.

Had to look into those bushings, they look pretty cool might have to get them myself.
I highly recommend Powell’s front control arm bushings. Eliminated my torque steer, it’s still flabbergasting haha. And if you get lowering springs go straight to yyzs.
TTR mounts are sweet because race car haha the vibrations are a little crazy at first but it gets a lot better
do you find your transmission noisy cruising at 60?

Yup I can defiantly hear more noise coming from the front end but the biggest thing is when I get off the line I hear a big clunk/bang sound and I can feel the engine lurching forward. I'm going to get under my car today brotha. Its fine anyway I wanted ttr engine mount and tranny inserts especially now that I'm boosting my car. Yeah I'm going to go with Powell tcabs, HC Sway bar and the YYZ springs on FE5 shocks and struts. Should be a nice setup for sporty driving but not too crazy harsh on the streets. Plus I got new tires Firestone Firehawks AS tires. Oh and if you get those Powell rear bushings and are doing them yourself I guess you need the Kent Moore tool to safely remove the old bushings. Gloria from Powell's confirmed that for me recently.

Yup once i'm done this project i'm looking at getting a Coyote mustang . Always wanted one plus they can make a lot of power when boosted.

Raced a little Kia today, was just messing with him really but had a lot of fun, guy had his car pinned it was hilarious.

finally took home my B6’s and one of them is missing some paint! Ugh.

Played around with my meth kit today too noticed it was actually spraying quite rich, turned the boundaries up and now it’s exactly at 11.0 AFR spraying over my tune which I think is mint.

Not bad brotha. The parts have been coming in pretty steady now. So I just ordered the last bit of fe5 suspension pieces I needed. plus my powell tcabs and HC Sway bar came this week. got my fe5 struts and shocks about 2 weeks ago and also got a ss/sc windshield washer reservoir used from a junk yard for $50 bucks. The only I have left to order is my YYZ Springs which I will get next month. I'm also going to finally get my rims painted by a friend I know in a couple of weeks. i'm getting my G5 GT Rims powder coated gloss black. Should look really good against my dark red paint color aka sport red tint coat! My plan is to install everything by August. Would of loved to have got this done sooner but I gotta do it all on a budget and buy soo much everything month.

Yeah that's the one thing I hate about Halifax we got nothing at all for a dragstrip. Closest we got is a place called Scotia Speed world but its just basically a auto x style track. Haha these kids don't expect a G5 to pull on their ass until it happens lol. Even mine N/A I've stomped soo many civics around my area lol. Cant wait now to turn my into the ultimate sleeper with the supercharger. Saw a Hellcat on the weekend he was going the opposite way but holy **** when he flew past me all you could hear was that supercharger whine lol. I know i'm going to be addicted to that lol. When you first got yours done you must not of been able to keep your foot out of her lol. Yeah i'll definitely keep you updated on my progress. I need to buy the YYZ springs next month and I was smart and already put vacation in around that time so I can focus just on that and get **** done. Plus hopefully get a hand from one of my buddies as well. Yeah once you get the meth dialed in brotha your car will be a beast. You think you might beef up the internals also?

that sucks man but hey you guys got a bubble now lol. I’d be really curious to see what you run if you ever do..

Supercharger whine never gets old. I’m a little more careful now where I boost and ultimately speed but pretty sure I’m usually around 18L/100KM in the city lol.

I’m set on building an engine. I hoped earlier on in the year that I would be buying parts this fall. I think I’m going to wait till next year now be financially smart.
I’m telling myself Though the next go fast parts I buy have to be rods and pistons! Decide on an engine already and just get the ball rolling

lol yeah man if I ever do get to a strip I will for sure let you know. I think New Brunswick got one I'll have to find out and if they do might go up there and see what I can get for a time. I be happy with mid 14's in the quarter but well see. Yeah that supercharger whine of the m62 is amazing can't to hear it on my car next year. Like you I just can't afford to upgrade suspension and boost the car in the same year especially with a little mouth to feed and a woman lol. Oh well unless ofcourse I hit the damn lotto then I go insane on my car including custom paint job and custom interior. What a dream that be lol. Yeah I say for sure build your engine brotha it will pain off on the dyno and at the strip and you know you'll get to that 400hp mark if you do plus you'll be able to go to a smaller pulley size or tvs setup down the road.

I expect you’ll get a mid 14 after a few tries.
I picked up about a full second after 5 tries, I had a lot of fun, people were super nice too, can’t wait to go back.
Honestly feeling good about a 13.9 myself.

Wouldn’t be rewarding if it was easy.
I certainly won’t be buying a TVs the same year I build my engine.

Yup mid 14's would definitely be a number I would want to get at the strip. Yes based on what you have done 13's should definitely be achievable brotha. No you are right build the motor first so it can handle the extra power. This is why i'm building my suspension up first before putting my blower on. I wanna have a solid car from top to bottom and I know that takes time and money brotha.

Torque steer is pretty fun, you could put the blower on first have a blast, never know haha.
Are you doing rack spacers at all?

Fingers crossed. The strip here is now open so we’re going to find out in due time.
Going to give her some fresh oil, rotate the radials and should be good to go.

Oh yeah I've experience the torque lol. Even in N/A form I get some torque steer lol. Yeah just going to wait until suspension is complete. No lol. I honestly have not even thought about rack spacers. You think I need them? I know the YYZ springs don't really lower the car all that much. Is it a pain in the ass to install those type of spacers?

I’m not really sure.. I put spacers in with my ZZP springs.. and still have them in with YYZ’s.

I tried ZZP’s spacers first but switched them out for two of OTTP’s smallest spacers. Pretty sure it’s 1/4”, maybe 1/2”...

though I’m an FE1 car and your FE3 so your drop should be slightly less..

I think you could do it at home, just slip the spacer under two bolts.
pretty sure it took the techs at my work 15minutes

Raced another person today haha,
was maybe a 2008 Ford 2DR pickup, no idea what engine. I feel like it was manual though..

Boosted by him a few times to find out if he was cool and he was laughing with his window down shaking his head, maybe mid 30s,
he was loving it.

So I flashed my rear lights and to my surprise he actually lined up with Me around 100km/h.
I gave him the hit and he defiantly had it floored, took me a good two seconds to take the lead and then I just left him behind.

Speed limits were starting to come down approaching the city and I was done messing around but my friends in the car were saying he’s out his window throwing his arms up like “come at me bro!” Haha, alright one more.
I slow down a little got half A car length behind him so we can exchange eye contact, locked speeds at 70, waited a moment and I went WOT taking the hit.
Gapped him in a blink of an eye, maybe he just wanted to hear the car one more time.
It was like he was a parked car, took his lane just for giggles. Then slowed down to give him a goodbye thumbs up 👍.

haha nice brotha. Nothing exciting for me today other than taking my woman up to Walmart lol. Have you raced one of those BRZ'S yet? I see those little cars everywhere now lol. All of them that own one think they got a damn Ferrari lol. I haven't lined up against one yet but I honestly think I could beat one now even at N/A. And yeah I will keep the rack spacers in mind if I have any issues with bump steer.
