but anyway, that damn walbro pump actually fits quite perfectly... just need to cut back the feed line (grey plastic part) about 1/4 inch and mill down a plastic tab on the inside of the top of the canister and wala... even the harness is the same... so far at 18psi... 11.4:1 across the board, and my fuel pressure is back to 58 psi.. woot
Awesome to hear. I figured someone in the know would get that particular pump to fit with minimal effort and a working sending unit.

If you really want vids that bad, I'll see what I can do while tuning tomorrow.

FYI, I was comparing your airflow to mine. I need at least 8000rpm out of the engine to get to your airflow I think. The 79s won't do it imo. Return line or FMU needed.

hah now that is some fuel!!!!

I have the 60's pretty close to being maxed out on the 2.9 by 7k.....I'm commanding 11.7:1 but ending up around 11.5.....still need to try and get the fuel map smoothed out, which is giving me a hard time. Then hopefully put some timing back into it.

Thanks man, yeah return line is going in next week, didn't have time today, my friends shop is uber backed up... but went through the planning of it, and should be a piece of cake now that I know how to rip out the whole fuel syster.
also if anyone is interested, we;re gonna get a few stock fuel canisters and modify them with the GSS342 already installed, just drop in, plug in, and go.

My turbo setup is moving some serious air, now I just need some seroius fuel and cams (ordered today woot) and should be sitting pretty at 400+whp

Yep I'm in the same boat. Actually commanding slightly richer and overrunning pulse width to 113% duty cycle but it ends up being 11.4. I just need to smooth MAF and add timing, I have it severely cut back for the time being.

BTW, I want this:

What cams you go with Paul? I am really tempted to head to the Jersey meet with Al to take a look at your car. I am trying to actually buy mine back.

272's of course... after seeing some interesting numbers come out of them... just need to order shims and springs and I'm good to go for now.
I'll definitely be out at the Jersey meet, I need to put faces behind the damn screen names lol. But car is finally running good again, no more f'd up idle and bouncing Fuel pressure... hopefully dial it in a little more on the dyno this weekend, but I'm going to keep it under 21psi since I don't think my motor is very happy with me right now

yea, I was stiing about 98% IDC's on the 60's.....I think I took off about 5 degrees of timing from the main table, until I can actually smooth the fuel. I'm still getting a few degrees of knock on some WOT pulls, probably from the little fuel spikes

I dunno, took everything apart, hit it with some carb cleaner, andput it back together, all was good. I think it was the pump, I dnno.
also with the walbro in there, you have to prime the fuel system for about 5 sec's before starting the car, I guess our stock pump had a check valve in it. But I love that sound

Yeah the Walbro doesn't have a check valve and the stocker does. You could plumb one in behind the fuel filter pretty easily.

So witt, how do you plan on using the DFMU? I have looked into it quite a bit and if your going to need that with the HTV i have a feeling im going to run into problems with a GT30 just like paul is on his current turbo setup.

If i were to run it, i would have it feed my 2nd fuel rail only since im using the SMT to control secondary injectors.

Matt needs more than a navigator imo.

still think it's just my shitty piping causing the problems... so much goddamn work to do and never have any time... it was a miracle I actually had a chance to do the fuel pump today

I'm going to use it to control the supplemental pump thats listed in my sig. It will only turn the pump on when in boost and match fuel pressure to every pound of manifold pressure above ambient. It will allow me to flatline the IFR table at 0 vacuum and below (positive pressure) and when I overrun it (IFR table), I won't have to take up the extra fueling through an airflow sensor.

Compress it enough and it will fit. BTW, manifold pressure was about 23 psi.

23 on the 2.75.....so that should be my 2.9 around 21ish?? I love how fast the needle on the boost gauge gets burried

Its a pain in the ass how it builds boost. I have PE set to enable by MAP and half throttle will build 15psi so just normal acceleration can cause jerkiness a bit as it comes in and out of PE. I might throw a delay timer value in at <3.5k rpm to fix it.

yea, definitely could cause a problem. Never would of even had to do that with the M62 since you need to stomp it to get over 10 pounds. This blower 1/4 throttle puts boost over 10. A delay would actually probably work out good, since anytime you're over 3.5k rpm you're probably looking to have fun anyways haha

Oh by the way, my boost numbers will be lower than most because of the cams. Where most cars will build boost from 5k rpm to redline mine will flatline as the cams come in.
