hmm.. no probably not. You need a smaller pulley and some higher octane than premium gas.

stock belt was slipping just a little bit for my tvs and 80mm pully. put on oversized tentioner, works great.

and napa had a belt listed part #D060702, looks identical to GM stock belt. cost 40$

Could I use a GMS3 PCM and trifecta on top of that for this S/C upgrade?

You could use the GMS3 base and any custom tune, whether it be trifecta or HPT. I did 278whp/255lb-ft on the stock TVS pulley on 93 octane with a trifecta tune. Have yet to dyno my HPT tune. (no meth)

Just did it today haha. It seems like it'd be easier with the TVS at first, but then you have to pull the filter up and you're fucked I just finagle it out under the blower and up towards the front of the car.

Reallllllllly debating a TVS. Anyone have experience with a 2.6" setup going to a TVS? If so, is the increased in power and pull a good noticable increase? I'd likely stick with the stock pulley and 60#'s for awhile. Worth it..?

So I finally decided to buy a TVS. Should have it next week!

I'm going to run on my 60#'s for awhile with the stock pulley and see how that goes.

Do I need one of those fuel pump rewire kits?

Also, is there any TVS specific things that need tuned for? I'm assuming I can adjust the MAF scaling and timing a bit with my existing M62 2.6" tune and the car should run pretty good. Anything else I'm missing?

Thanks! If I get 80#'s and drop to a smaller pulley at which point would I need a rewire or other mods?

I'm trying to get away with reasonably safely running a TVS as much as possible with a conservative tune. I want to stay away from meth and a return style fuel system for now. How small of a pulley can I run on 60#'s and what about 80#'s?

Let me know how that works out for you. I have a 2.8 sitting here, I planned on getting a set of 60lbs injectors but if I can get away with going to 80's and putting in a TVS with some major power I'll stick with my 2.9 and GM s2 tune till I get the dosh then go all out. I too want to run the TVS but don't want to mess with huge upgrades on the fuel system, and I too do not want to run methanol injection E85 ect... Just want to use pump gas and hope the block holds up stock...if not then I will put i the rings pistons and head bolts. Beyond that just too much dough and risk on a DD car. i would need to snag another DD and then push this one as a drag/track only car that I play with on weekends.
