Don't ask me. My brother balanced them and said 2 were bent. I don't know how they could've got bent. I have never hit a curb before

what kind of tires did you put on? you most likely have crappy balancing tires and just need to give them a half spin on the rim, then rebalance.... and yes every tire has diff properties when it comes to balancing.... a general rule is the more the tire cost the better they balance....

they balanced out fine, just the rim is a bit bent.

that makes no sense coz a bent rim wont balance..... unless you put a ton of weight on it.... do you mean the lip of the rim has a small bend in it? that can happen just from hitting a pothole.....

you can definitely balance a bent rim, it just creates a higher dynamic imbalance in the wheel assy. not all bent rims will balance out ok, but you can compensate for the majority of them.

Jordan, your rims do not have major bends in them, and they were likely caused by the previous owner.

ya you can balance them with about 3,4,5,6,7 ounzes of weights, in which is just unsafe.... you run the risk of tossing a weight and then a snowball effect can happen....

maybe its a time to upgrade or find some used factories...........

Mark - you're a hoot!

before I get carried away, a belated happy new year everyone!

ok, regarding wheels, I do have a set of bright chrome LSJ wheels that I would let go for $500 - two are perfect, the other two have some rash...
I regretted it as soon as I got to the guys place, (I should have walked) but I felt somewhat obligated... in spite of both the rims, and the rubber not being what he "remembered" them being.

Ugg... what's that about nice guys finishing last?

(Jordan I do not expect you to be interested, but incase anyone need's a set, or knows of anyone who needs a set, please pass the word)

So for some reason the idea got in my head to take road trips more. I have been thinking of driving down to the states this spring and summer.

Here's an idea, anybody want to show up at the sincity bailout and/or CED this spring?

isn't CED normally in july or august?

I normally did road trips;
it was a cheap way of 'getting out of dodge', and felt like an actual vacation as opposed to staying at home, which, no matter how productive ect my time off from work was - never really felt like a vacation...

Date/Time/Location? I am looking for a couple good road trips this summer, and would be highly interested.

Tom (the man behind any CSS/CED events) IMHO dropped the ball last year, and onky announced it about a month ahead;
IIRC he had the 2011 event announced in January.
