Calgary - random talk thread
thats pretty good. i dont know how much my brakes would be but my brother is doing everything, all i have to do is give him my keys.
i think it would be;
~$20 per rotor 4x = ~$80
~$60 per caliper 4x = ~$240
for pads ~$100?
so like $400-500 for all 4 brakes brand new, installed

BUT... all put together it's a really sharp looking ride. There's nothing quite like owning something SIMILAR, but not the same as everyone else. Hopefully we'll get to meet this summer at the track or something.
he races enmax trucks with his coworkers lol. but whenever i need something major done to my car, i just order my parts through him. getting a tranny flush for 20$
that and you also get to learn more about your car, and how it works. since i joined this forum, i have learn soooooo much about cars, and how they work and everything
Anybody doing anything exciting for Easter?
Like I said, talk to me haha. In lieu of me not wanting to do meth and lack of E-85, I'm swapping over to an S256 instead of the TVS so I'll have a take-off kit local.

I'm at Murray right now, first time seeing a Camaro vert. Coupe looks better, IMO.
And there's a sport red LSJ here, doesn't look like its for sale tho
Amber turn signals in the rear lip project is underway! This should only take a couple hours.
I've got 4 of these, 2 for the right side here:

So that's 32 amberish-orange superflux LED's per side. Given my entire 3rd brake light is 30 red superfluxes and looks like so, this might actually work:

Wiring LED's is the one and only thing I know how to do in these cars, so that part won't be a problem. Three concerns at this point. Firstly, off-axis visibility since the grilles in the rear lip are recessed. Second, and most important - for these LED's, amber gives the lowest light output of all the colors... my biggest worry is direct sunlight, especially near sunset/sunrise. And lastly, these things aren't real pretty as you can see in the pic.... they might look pretty ugly just sitting on the grille. But that can be dealt with fairly easily, I figure. I really won't know till it's done.
Solution would be to put these things through a set of relays, then I could change turn signal functionality from these lights to the regular brake light setup with the flip of a switch. This is a worst case scenario, because my brake lights aren't something I want going through 2 sets of relays that could possibly fail. I was thinking of bailing on this project all together, but the LED's were close to $100 and I'd have no other use in the car for amber LED's... so I've got to at least try it out.
Thoughts?
