Frankly I have a hard time keeping track of anyone's modifications;
I only (passively) commit to memory the modifications that I was somehow involved with;
I helped Kris with his shorty header.

Oh! ~ that reminds me;

@ Ownedbyagirl?;
if you're more interested in doing things on the cheap, you could also port your exhaust manifold... considering that GM even acknowledges the benefits in this by offering a ported manifold through GMPP, this is an inarguable point...

See I didn't know you had anything done to your exhaust!

When did you get the GMPP-catback?

Considering everything I'm surprised anyone is still getting that exhaust...
I'm pretty sure the "midlength header" is the shorty header I previously alluded to which Kris had;
I have never read the term "midlength header" - and would wager it's a term coined by someone in the tuner crowd... comparable products from summit or jegs would be called a 'shorty header'...

Sounds like your primaries header tubes are even larger than the ones on the gran-dam's header!!

ya, after reading that, this was my guess - his car was the only I've seen with the GMPP-exhaust.

does your header connect to the stock headpipe?
>if it does, perception aside, it's a shorty header.

ya he did, for everything i got the price was extremely good and everything was in good shape and quality. other then a few small things, the wiring for the wideband i should have double checked in the first place which was my fault and the 2 bolt flange is a flawed design and it cupped as they all do, so i had some fun repairing that but that wasn't due to anything that deadlus did and was relatively an easy fix.

almost a year ago haha, it was julyish when i did it. recently i've upgraded my plugs to a one step colder and gapped them to 0.035" and the car runs great and now that there are no more exhaust leaks from the damn 2 bolt flange i should be putting down some good times at the track this year.

Calgary Sports Car Club does run solo sprint and auto-x on the roadcourse - the website is a mess but the contact info should still be good. Get a good line into 1, brake like you never braked before, drop 2 gears, toss it at 2, down another gear, rail through 3 (nice double apex on 2 wheels, more like 2 seperate corners in a car).......most fun you can have with your clothes on

CSCC (see above), vintage cars, exotics a couple times a year, bikes 6 weekends a year (CMRA) - it actually gets a fair bit of use. Sadly, the surface is deteriorating to the point of being almost unusable, pavement is pulling up in turn 3 and 9, the bumps through 5 are scary in a car let alone on a bike........

If the city man's up and allows RC to continue, the operators (Rome and Art) will have to dig very deep to overhaul the drag strip alone, never mind the 3 km of paving to get the roadcourse up to snuff. I have heard numbers upwards of $3 million to do both

Won't comment on that bleacher lined pothole that passes for an oval

ya and there have already been companies that are willing to donate funds to help keep race city and to help with its upkeep. the main thing holding everyone back is the city.

I talked to a guy with another LSJ in Lethbridge, said he had stage 2, exhaust, intake, tune, clutch and blue neons . Not sure if he had anything else, hard to hear over is exhaust. Was an 06 that was blue if anyone knows him.

I hard failed my launch but still dead even. Most fun I've had in a while! haha.

^ Yes... I see that guy all the time, he lives in the south close to me I think. Laser blue with tints on the front, billet grille, gen 1 projo's. That grille plus the headlights really morph the front end. Actually looks pretty nice, until I saw him cruising down Mayor last summer with that God forsaken underglow. Him and another red LSJ are the only ones I ever see now. I used to always see the same 2 black LSJ's in the south but never see those anymore.

That's the one, I really thought I'd pull on him if he is GM Stage 2, even if he is tuned. Wonder if he has header/dp too.

I saw a red LSJ a while back, and yes that underglow was hilarious. I had my buddy in my car with me and that was the first thing he pointed out.

Do you keep a lethbridge cobalt encyclopedia or something? .

Ha, that makes sense for sure. I guess I did manage to hang with him even though I launched bad. It was on Mayor Magrath, of course . It wan't busy at all though. We never went too far, I'd rather not be hitting the top of second in a 60 zone for obvious reasons .

Well I can count them on one hand, so I hope it's not too stalkerish. I think I have a bit of photographic memory... even without making an effort to do it I can remember lots of cars I see, and details about them.

Yay, there's something at the post office for me tomorrow. Either the clips so I can finally get my lips on, or it's my intake.

@soundjunky or anyone else who would know this

I got a 6 disc stock headunit from an 07 to replace the non 6 disc in mine. I understand you need to have the dealer unlock it for your VIN before it works in the car. Should I swap out the headunit and then take my car in? Or just take the new headunit in by itself?

yes you need to have the headunit unlocked and install it yourself and take it in to have it unlocked, they will probably charge you an hour's labour for it.
