Yeah, right now theyre plugged into the 3rd, so come on only with the brakes. Might go back to how I had before though.

Something black or something will go over the lights, this is a complete mockup, they're not even connected to the turn signal but to the tail light, and also the wires are just hanging outside the trunk down to the lip. Right now I've got to run wires from the BCM back to the rear lip.

In my own defense, I saw both of these posts at the same time...

Frankly, after looking at the video, I'm not a fan.

For some reason, I thought you had the inner lights wired up...??

Three wires going to the inners: parking lamp, brake light, and ground... disconnected the brake light wire and connected the inners directly to the 3rd, just to see how that looks. Kinda liked it so I stuck with it. Still might go back.

In that pic, I was kinda between setups so they weren't connected to anything.

[QUOTE=Acey;5724789]Dammit people, I need opinions on whether or not to go thru with this.

I like it actually, looks good.

2 random questions by the way. Are you black? I swear I saw your car and I waved but the guy inside didn't wave back so I wasn't sure if it was yours then haha.

Secondly, your car appears to be de badged, do you have one of the SS symbols you'd like to get rid of?

Joel

Yes I'm black but I didn't see you!? Or maybe it was on Whoop-Up then I might remember someone waving but it didn't occur to me fast enough. I think there are either a couple other orange LSJ's with high rise in town so I wasn't sure.

Yes, I have both SS badges from my doors... and also have 2 big ones from the TBSS door that Murray gave me for free, you can have them all as I have no use for them.

It was a while back on highway 3. Before the lips were done. Next time I'll wave again if I get a blank stare hahaha.

Also that'd be great thanks man. I just need 1 door one to paint and put on my grill. Lemme know when your free and we'll meet up.

I remember you doing the "Cobalt Sport" mod

Aside from what Joel is getting, I'd be interested in aqquiring any other "spares" off of you... I think all the ones from my white car are MIA...

Also, do you still have the one above the glovebox?
If you decide to part with that one please let me know, as it seems to be the toughest one to acquire.

Could you clue me in as to what you meant by "TBSS door that Murry gave me"??

Brightness of the LED's in the lip REALLY suffers during the day, and the sky is almost completely overcast. Just drew up a quick schematic that involves a total of 6 relays, 1 of which I already have in place for interior lights.

Inner tails remain connected to the 3rd brake light at all times. Relay #1 is connected to the parking lights, and I'm taking the negatively switched wire from this relay. The outer tails will work as normal, powered by relay #2 and #3 via the stock brake light wire on each side. Then when the parking lights come on, the negatively switched wire from #1 kills relay #2 and #3, while a positive wire from #1 will turn on relay #4, which switches connection of the outer tails from stock to the 3rd brake light, i.e. removes turn signal functionality. Relays #5 and #6 control the ambers in the rear lip via the the front turn signals, but triggered only by a positive parking lamp wire so they're completely off during the day. Piece of cake.

I still have that one in place. I'll take it off eventually and put on the other Sport badge that I got. Just hadn't taken it off before cause I didn't have anything to cover it with and wasn't sure if it'd come off cleanly.

Well when ever you're ready to part with those badges, please let me know what you would like, and we can take it from there...

You can just have it, I don't want money for it. I'll take it off today, actually. Let me know when you're in town.
