i think i happen to know your kryptonite...... lol..... whats funny is they are all lsj's.... you see there will be a lsjt very soon who would absolutely embaress 99% of lnf's, then there is a lsjtvs who can spank ya.... but wait dont tell me that this asshat lsjm62 is gunning for ya too.... boy i must admit that would be kinda embarressing if he pulled it off..... like really a m62, what a clown, dont he know that the ss in ss/sc stands for super slow? lol hey nathaniel settle down i had my fun..... lol just enjoy the techy talk that comes from us upgrading.....

" lol so the lnf's have to get rid of the factory turbo to be faster than an m62. and the zfr is an efr lol. don't go with a s262. and the ko4+ is crap. and we have fuel options as well.

and you forgot the most important factor 4.05 > 3.82. AND our power doesn't fall off after 6k.

Game on bishes. lsj>lnf
the upgrades u need to run with an lnf (k04) that is simply tuned with a trifecta is quite allot.....
-new injectors
-smaller pulley
-new serp belt
-larger serp belt tensioner
-new tune for injectors and pulley set up
-then u need a wheel hop kit just to harness the extra power
-step colder plugs
and prob some meth for good measure

I dont know if a done up lsj m62 small pulley will beat a doneup k04 lnf i say its close, a racers race one might say.

ZFR(EFR) spools fast like the k04 but is larger and runs longer would compete with a TVS. The thing is that in order to reach these huge builds both have their own weak areas that need to be conquered. As long as its a balt killin everything it meets im happy (lsj or lnf Boosted is boosted MUCH LOVE)

Lnf comes with esc, traction, launch control, no wheel hop, stiffer chasis, better engine mounts etc etc (the list goes on and on)

Im terribly unfamaliar with the 5th injector set up however i do know there is a cam with an upgraded fuel lobe to strike faster. For what the balt comes with and what a simply tune will unleash is gravy, thats why i love my lnf

Personally my balt is a dd/weekend cruiser. I need fuel econmy mixed with kill when i need it.
Its drivin year round, and thats when i use the esc, traction control and such as its very handy.

except after we do all that stuff to the lsj we still haven't even come close to touching the price of even a stock lnf lol

let me go buy an lsj, lay down 440whp. and still be thousands short of what a bone stock lnf costs.

Im not sure if we get e85? ive never seen it around anyway......anyone?

and look at the drag times thread too. look at what it's taking you guys to run 12s and 13s. i went 13.7 with a pulley, injectors, and tune. no other mods. 12.75 on a 2.85" setup with maybe 260-270whp.. the lsj is not far off at all from the lnf. not enough to say one is better than the other. except for the fact that the lnf is newer and has nicer seats.. haha

How much will it cost for upgrade with labor? Need a ball park estimate. Any help is appreciated so thank you in advance.
first off, i would suggest checking your cable linkage and adjusting it as second gear grind is a common symptom on the bats from slamming the gears.

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/08-1...=gear+grinding

"Heres how to fix it.
Remove the cup holder.
put the car in first gear.
reach down and release the lock on the cable on the right hand side. (don't release the one on the left)
gently push the shifter forward until it measures about 4 3/4 to 4 7/8 between the front of the shifter knob and the dash.
Hold it there with one hand and reach down and relock the cable adjuster. (this moves the shifter forward in the gate)

This moves the shifter forward in its gate and gives more throw when shifting into second before the actual shifter mechanism bottoms out at the back of the shifter gate.
If that does not fix it then yes you probably have a syncro problem but 99 percent of the time its a shifter adjustment issue and not a syncro issue.
I will be passing this on to the appropriate engineers.

I am a GM Engineer and my opinions are my own. "

So these upgraded cams. How much of a bitch would it be to install them. Also is custom grinding needed?

honest nathaniel i look at the dyno thread and just a trifecta tune, dp, muffler delete you will get 300ish on the avg.... a 2.8 will hit 270 without meth.... 300+ with..... a 2.6 will hit north of 285 without meth and easy 320+ with.... even if you ran meth, i figure they would be on par with 2.6 on meth..... yes your correct we need to spend a lil bit to get there..... but when your in a position im in where i have the support mods, it becomes very cheap to make more power.... the biggest thing you dont have that i do is the power band...... the biggest thing you have i dont is a slight edge in torque..... my money is on the sc power band....... besides that eddie has blessed this car and it will always be the nasty freak you fear.....

btw SS GT = SS GIANT TURBO

well im sorry u think our seats r nicer cause they blow in the winter when its cold and u go to push the heated seat button next to the pass dic and bam!!! theres no button cause theres no heat! hahaha

also (have not looked at the drag postings as of this posting)

i believe stock lnf is low 14's
a simple tune will take it high 13's
beyond that it starts taking money and parts.......
personally i enjoy a spirited bendy drive as apposed to straight super fast.

for rental cars we can get moving alright hahaha
