Was searching across kijiji when I came upon this jewel
2006 Cobalt SS Rims and Tires - Moncton Tires, Rims For Sale - Kijiji Moncton Canada.
Not only is the asking price ridiculous, but read the whole description. Especially the part where he says how much each rim is worth brand new haha

He's right ! Call your local Chevy dealer and ask them hom much a single 18" ss gun metal rim is worth retail. But make sure your sitting down. I actually checked once and the dealer told me the rim ALONE with no tire was just over $900. Then add taxes to that. Over $1000..... Crazy.... But it's true !

Its stupid because you can get nicer rims for cheaper.. and the car is only worth 10g max. so the rims are not worth a 1/5th of the car.

You would have to be retarded to buy these rims. RETARDED

Oh and FYI rims are NOT 1000 a piece. Try 500..

gmpartsdirect.com: Alternate GM Catalog

Search that site for GM parts and see for yourself.

The 19 inch rims on a Cadi XLR are only 550 and they are one of the most expensive GM rims. Who ever told you the rims are 900 each was either high on crack or just suffered a stroke.

go call any dealership and they will tell you they around 900-1200. When i had my cobalt i called for some reason (cant remember why) and they said the wheels are 1200 a piece. iiunno where you are getting 500 from. I dont think any car of any make sells rims for 500, unless its a steelie. Prices i got for the cobalt was 1200, my 370z were 1500-1700. GT-R rims are like 2000 a pop and my rims on my truck are 2500-2700 each. The spare steelie rims that the dealership has set aside for me when i get home are 250 a pop and thats just the 20" spare tire steelie rim. You will never find a OEM wheel that is less expensive then a nice set of aftermarket rims.

You sir are mistaken. Go on GMpartsdirect and look for yourself before you tell me im wrong. I looked at one of GMs most expensive cars.... 550 a pop. Why would anyone order rims from there dealership... Dealerships mark the price up so they make money. It's called profit... Order direct from GM..

Would you go to your dealership to get a Air filter changed? No or you would be wasting money...

The internet is a vast tool... Use it.

CobaltSC06 didnt post it for no reason...

Oh and 500 for a steelie? Are you ******* retarded??? I hope you go and pay 500 bucks for a steelie. Morons like that is why dealers get away with Inflating prices... Do some research...

I called a dealer for a new bearing for my CV joint.. they said 120 bucks..

Called another dealership... 50 bucks...

called GM directly 35 bucks.

DO YOUR ******* HOMEWORK

I never once said u couldnt get them cheaper from the net. So before you get your panties in a bunch, calm down and read what i wrote. I dont care about gmdirect or whatever it is. And in my case for paying what i gotta pay for steelies, i did my research. Due to my offset and my brake calibers being extreamly large, most aftermarket rims will not fit on my truck. Between tires and rims, my best bet is to order 3 steelies which are 250 each (200 with miliary discount) and put winter tires on them + the spare that is already on the truck. Doesnt matter what route i take, its going to cost me roughly $1700 to get winter rims/tires for my truck.

More then likely.. I just paid 880 for 18inch OEM rims and Arctic Claw tires. Dealerships just mark up prices. MSRP on these rims are 500 a piece. I tried calling the Pye dealership to see what ridiculous price they have for them. but they are closed today obv.

sorry for jumping down your throat.

buying things off the net is always cheaper, aftermarket parts are always cheaper, but according to Oregons on Robie St. in halifax and Forbes on...i think its Main St? Oregans quoted 1200 and forbes quoted 1250 per wheel for the 08 ss/sc 18" chrome rim. Stock 22" rims for my truck are 2700 a piece. Retarded? yes! But oh well, its all good.

Dealerships always over charge, but 1200 for those used rims is way too much maybe half of that. Plus there 17s

Yeah, I know where I can get a set of ss/na 17" rims for $300 without tires and the rims are flawless. I was gonna purchase them to throw on the Balt for the winter but decided not to.

i agree with u on that, but having a truck that can beat quite a few cars on the track is awesome as well. Although iiunno if i would be able to stand having a truck for off road, i like keeping my vehicals looking clean and scratch free. If i had a 4x4 i would be off roading and it would be scratched to ****. This week i went off roading with a g-waggon, thank god i had a snorkle cuz the water was over my hood and it was still going. Doors didnt have a good seal and water was flowing in around my feet.

no that wont fit jd, thanks though. Because of the caliber size, the offset is i think 25mm, i cant remember. But the normal Ram 1500 wheels wont fit on it. Someone tried and apparently the front wheels were fine but the back ones rubbed against the side of the caliber and the wheels locked up.
