Congrats stu.... I'm gonna calm down on the modding as well.... I have spent a **** ton on parts lol. Me and the gf plan on getting a house sometime in the near future, if the company ever stops moving me around. So do you take ownership of it? Did you order your synapse intercooler yet is are you not gonna bother?
I can't wait for spring to get out for some meets....
Keep us updated on the house situation. You got the biggest mod of all of us haha, just not for the cobalt lol.

congrats!!!.... i'm also thinking about not "moddin" the balt too much!! i need to get my life on track!! got a interview today for a new job so if that goes well #1 on my resolution list scratched, then it's on to finding a apt!!
its not that hard to install it...took me 1/2 a day to take out the stock header,dp, exhaust and put the new ones on...you just have to get it welded. Not sure about the systems for the SS/TC but with my car it needed to be welded before the resinator and then again right before the pipe goes over the axle.

Yeah I'm figuring on 2 hours max and that's with taking the stock one off. My exhaust is in two sections. From the dp to the axle is one section and from the axle to the tip is the other. My girlfriends grandfather has a garage with a pit so I can walk right under the car. Also due to the car still being on the ground, I'll be able to fit it over the axle better. I'm installing it Friday or Saturday of next week. Can't wait
Little bit of an update..
Decided not to go with the Hahn CAI... I will be looking at the charge piping shortly, and i just put my order through for the GMS1! Can't wait to get it here and put it on! Got a great price (so it seems) from O'Regans for the install. Then once that is one i'll put everything else on since thats what the guys at CED suggested.

O'Regans Chev on Robie quoted me $90 an hour, and said it'd take 2 hours, so $180, which seems better then the dealers down your way.
When i talked to them they knew exactly what i was talking about, and had a price point for it. So they atleast know what they're doing so i'd like to trust them. I'll let you know.
BTW, Who is your insurance through? Mine is so high, would love to get it lower.

Well a little bit of an update. Drove home to digby today, got caught in a snow storm and took me and the gf almost 4 hrs to get here and usually it take 1.25 hrs. On the plus side I got my exhaust installed...... Sounds sick as hell. Very deep. Just got to get 3 stainless bolts to replace the stock ones in the flange and then I'll get it welded with stainless steel. Currently have a clamp holding it together so it won't leak.
All in all I'm completely satisfied with my full 3" stainless CIA turbo back.

Also, i thought you could just use the stock stuff... thats what Dan told me, just had to take one piece out and whatnot, and replace it? What do you need welded etc? What are the bolts for?

Yeah I completly cut off the stock exhaust. I need to get new bolts for where the exhaust bolts to the dp because the bolt holes in the new exhaust are bigger than the ones in the stock exhaust. The part that needs to get welded where the exhaust comes in to pieces, where it joins over the axle it needs to be welded.
As for sound clips, it has been blustery all day and hasn't stopped snowing. If I did a sound clip, all you would hear is wind lol

I am still running the factory exhaust on my car. I'm kinda wondering if i should look into a nice cat back exhaust. I use to have a borla on my 03 V6 tiburon. And everyone told me it was one of the best sounding cars on the road. It wasnt too loud or raspy. It was deep and sounded incredible. So i was kinda thinking of getting a borla for the balt. But i wonder how they sound on a lsj ?? Anyone heard them before ?
