what do you mean tarmac... most people (british) refer to any racing surface as tarmac. either way the only difference in tires you'll see will be between trying to road race with a drag slick, and trying to make a pass down the track on a road slick. every drag strip is going to be sprayed and prepped(even if terribly) so its not gonna be like driving on straight cement or asphault. the tires themselves though do have variations in hard or soft compound, being a fwd i would try and stay on the softer side

Yes, but you should only drive through the water if you have slicks, not radials with tread.

Ok, I want the cheater slicks 16 from summit racing but link from the 1st post doesn't work, it just takes you to summitracing.com. What are the sizes and brand, including the rims so I look for it?

What you really want to do is grind your calipers a bit and run a 15 Inch M&H Racemaster Full Slick

How much is a "bit"? It wouldn't affect the brake performance? Do you have link to the full slick tire, there are a lot of options out there and what is drag radial instead it is not and slicks are also slicks depending on what compound is made of.

you're not going to find a 24.5" for a 16" wheel.

grind the calipers a hair and run 15"s. then get a real slick.

well then you can go with the 225/50/16 hoosier drag radial or a 245/50/16 nitto 555r. i wouldn't go with anything else. 16"s and 17"s really only have tires to offer that are too tall for our cars. we don't need anything bigger than a 24.5". and the tall tires make the gearing way too long.

they're probably 6.5" or 7". but either will work with the hoosier radials. the nittos i wouldn't go below a 7". but i think those wheels are a 7"
