I would love to. I have a few things I need to do to the old girl this weekend but that would def be a fun trip. A long ass day but fun none the less.

Update on the trans. The one company John uses has promised to have him a quote tomorrow. We might have a final price in the next few weeks!

The ZZP F35 has been on their website for a couple days now....here's the link....sounds like the shep will definately be stouter, but for most the ZZP will work....and I'm speculating there will be a price difference b/t the two. You CAN add the lsd option with the zzp though.

Ok. you could have shep add that if you found an lsd I'm sure he would do that no problem. There will be a big difference in price. The ppl that think their only option is a $3300 trans should hold off on the nls for a while until we come out with ours

Shep offers the Quaife LSD as an option on the DSM Transmission... I see no reason why he wouldn't be able to do the same thing for ours.

Well, what you're talking about is an improper set-up... and its also something that Drag Radials would solve.

I don't want 4.45's because I don't wanna be topping out at like 150mph... not to mention the increased RPM for interstate cruising and the loss of highway gas mileage.

Longer gears are better for big turbo highway cars.

well yes, i thought the annoyance of cruising at 70 at 4k rpm along with the shitty gas mileage was implied, and who wants to drive around on DR's? Any car that cant perform 90% of what it can on the track on the street is a waste of a "street" car IMHO

Cruising around town on Drag Radials is fine... I've done it... its a lot of fun actually. Lots of High HP cars do it. Drag Radials can be done on the street quite easily actually. Not slicks. There is a difference. And that's just part of the game. There isn't a "Street tire" in the world that's going to hold over 400whp to the ground in every gear... after 400whp, 3rd gear starts spinning... you gotta do something to remedy that. Drag Radials. And your last sentence, the one I bolded... is quite dumb, imo. If you use street tires at both places... it'll perform the same at both places... if you use DR's in both places... it'll perform the same in both places. Simple as that.

There are alot of cars both fwd and rwd that will not perform the same on the road and track. Plan and simple, a 800hp v8 will not perform close to 90% of what it can do at the track on the road without driving on slicks all the time. But I guess if you go to the track with a 800 hp car on street tires you could actually perform close to the same on the street, but nobody with brains does that.

One thing that sucks about the lnf is I feel the gears are too long. At 7800rpms I should be close to 130 in third on a 24 inch tire lol.

Yeah, for drag racing... the 4.45's will probably help. At least a 4.05... I'm a street/highway sort of guy... so I'd actually prefer the LNF Ratio. What is it again? 3.73 ersumshit?

After looking at the chart/graph posted above, I guess 4.45's wouldn't be all that bad... especially since I'll be revving to like 8200+ now.

USMC what wheel/tire combo is that? Is that a 16'' wheel? How wide are they as well

I need something exactly like that man and it looks B.A.

I love the stock gears in our cars. For drag and street. I wouldn't want anything shorter I love how 3rd pulls during a race. The dsm's shift into 4th at like 90 and I still have about 20mph to go. I've won a few races just because of that and stuck in some that I should have never been that close to as well.

Pretty sure that's a 16 with a 225/50/16 Hoosier quick time dot.

Wheels: MB Wheels Five X custom rims

Tires: Hoosier Racing Tire 17320 - Hoosier DOT Drag Radial Tires - Overview - SummitRacing.com

I'm gonna have the wheels PC'd black this year... I hate silver.

I'd like to find a Mickey Thompson that works in my size, since I sort of work for them now... but I don't think they make one narrow enough.

Dang guys, that was fast. Thanks for the links bro. So how do you like the hoosiers on the street? How tall would that make them around 24ish?
