I had seen Ion Redline before and I see 2 is up forsale at dealer's lots. They want it for $9k for either those 2 colors. 1 in blue and 1 in black, I just don't understand why they want it for that much. I know this car is a rare car, I think this car is lighter than our Cobalt. Right ?

^^^yes lighter. But also not as stiff; the structure suffers with the funny little side access doors. Neat and useful feature, horrible for torsional stiffness.

The dash is in the middle which is retarded unless you run the factory steering column mounted comp pack shift light and boostgauge.
Never understood who signed off on the dash being in the middle. When I bought my car the dealer had a redline and my ss on the lot. Drove the redline first and loved it but couldn't get past that dash.

its a weird world. Saturn was a great concept/ ended with a gay CEO at the helm who was somehow linked to the marketing v-p , if I have that right.

not that being gay is right or wrong, its just

weird.

Redline was a great concept. Started with the Vue redline which came out with a Honda v6. No sooner did they produce that with redline badging and distinctive grille and body mouldings, than Saturn proliferated the engine into the regular line.

so why Redline?

Someone posted they sold maybe 1400 Redline Ions in 2007, the last year for the car.

If you have ever driven the Astra, the replacement, its a POS.
with a stupid signal and wiper stalk operation that is far from intuitive and a practically useless digital readout conventionally located IP.

weird.

Then there is the whole Sky deal

useless sports car with no room for anything, way more attractive than the solstice

and the Aura the last new Saturn was a kickass car on the new Epsilon platform just a brilliant car that went no where

weird

John, Do you sell shifter linkage pin ? I think my shifter linkage pin broke. I got short shifter then upgrade LSJ to LNF shifter bracket. It's still feel like sloppy and loose.

we have a finite supply of hardened racing roll pins. I run an LNF shifter housing, our own alloy and stainless housing bushing kit, the LNF cable bracket. Its really good.

email if you want the pins....

How are those under car rails on cars lowered more than your spring(I'm on bc coils).

I can get my jack under my sub frame but only in the middle of the car..

work fine with a typical floor jack with the rotating cup removed. the jack point slots into the cup pin hole in the jack.
