i put them up there to give people a broad idea. trying not to leave people out even if they have no proof. luckily noones really claiming something high without proof

the odd torque numbers from the 2.7-2.6 cars bother me though

on a dynojet at a undisclosed location

SAE certified and corrected.

21psi and my last dyno run for a while

the new found power is more due to the bent exhasut valve i replaced, found it when i did a leak down on the motor.

reworked the dyno set up tune and get this.

it was fairly consistent across 5 pulls....heat has finally become a non-issue.....but it is snowing and like 30out as well...

the pen marks are my notes and the odd lines are from me tracing over the original ones with a sharpie(sp?) it was in color but i guess our "all in one" scanner, printer thing wont scan color.

the lines look like a little kids because thats the extent of my tracing skills

in original form every things vary light in contrast so i wanted to darken it up.

as for egts i have no clue, however i did find a sweet way to get the EGT's up before a pull and thats what helped my torque number the most.

i need a spot to mount said EGT gauge before i can use one to my benefit.

i'm still battling some KR up top, if not for that i think the curves would be more consistent up top

Very nice man... what correction was used if any on that pull

anyway I will definitely be looking to you on the gt30r when I finally get to ordering that. As of right now cash is tight and with said planned fuel upgrades, I'll probably just be getting the same size turbo I have now, just a better quality one, probably a turbonetics for now.
I've been keeping my TQ numbers down since I"m still on the stock clutch and I need it to hold out til I do my motor swap since I don't really feel like taking everything apart more than once.

According to the guy at the dyno the correction factor was a "1" or what he called a "stright pull" that combined with the KR all lead to the erratic numbers/curve from mid-rpm range on up.

let me know when you get to the point of ordering a turbo, i'm way into all the new stuff rite now.

as for torque on the dyno its easy....its all in the EGT's

go into HPT (the scanner) start to log the car and then click on the "on / off / 100%" button next to the DTC check button.

then click on the "special" tab and look at the idle control window.

type 2000 into the window and click the "RPM" button thus haveing the car hold its self at 2000rpm BUT it use's idle control spark numbers (9-10deg) that low of a timing number combined with the extra fuel needed for that rpm and BAM, she'll start to glow if you hold her there for a sec, makes AWESOME torque improvements across the mid-range.

vary true sir, if only it worked in a more convenient way.

but such is life i guess, to many people put wayyyyyy to much stress and emphasis on dyno numbers....the good ole butt dyno has never let me down before!

to me the car with my DD tune pulls harder through the gear but that could be because of multiple variables so i guess it could "just be me"

but she moves pretty good, lots of fun on the highway. and the best part is shes still a beast from our famed 40 roll

give it a shot bro!

if you clutch is that bad you could vary well be loosing some power across it....just a thought

I couldn't agree with you more man.
I'm a big track number guy, so that's why I"m dying to get out there in the spring. But the car pulls damn hard... I just don't street race so I really can't compare it to other's until I hit the track.
Ask phil (darksun) I took him for a few pulls...... no homo

no it's not bad at all... it holds perfectly, still will chirp 3rd if I WOT.. but it's the original stocker with 27,000 miles on it, and I would like it to last a bit longer. Once I get the exedy in, then I'll start messing with TQ. But my car has been modded for power since it was 1 month old, so I just don't want to push my luck with the clutch any harder then I already am

buwhahha.....good thing you put the "no homo" in there cuz i was about to start asking questions!!!

i like track numbers as well but i for one am huge on the street racing side of things...thats how i judge if my car is "good enough" or if she needs more work

i'm with ya paul, i put about 30k on my stocker and she wouldn't spin the tire or stall the car when i was done with it.

so far i absolutely LOVE my spec 3+

go from a 30 punch. it's fun when roast the tires past the car you're racing.

they look at you funny when you do.

i think we "officially" screwed this thread up.
