Just got my Injen CAI replaced with a stock system so it'll stop throwing CELs. I'll save the mods for when I buy another 1G Eclipse. So easy to work on.

Bought the car with the Injen. Heard it wasn't supposed to have CEL problems but whenever it was under 40 degrees outside the CEL would stay on. Used to have a 1991 Eclipse GST but it rusted out. Someday I will own a 1991 GSX, I'm a sucker for pop-up headlights.

It was time to move on. I blew WAY too much money on mods and broken parts because I beat the hell out of it. I decided it was time to sell it and pay off college loans and such. I did however keep a '98 Impreza L coupe lightly modded and built for rally-x.

I am hoping so. I am far beyond my having to be the fastest car on the road phase. Now I just want to have a little power to have some fun if I want to and still have an enjoyable ride. I am very happy so far. Even being stock it has a nice bit of get up and go and it still get me ~30MPG which beats the WRX by nearly double the way I would drive it.

If money was no issue I would stick to Subaru but thats my own personal biast opinion haha. I have learned everything I know on subarus. I have rebuilt STI's, put in short blocks, done hybrid swaps in the old 02-04 2.2L WRX's, and numerous 2.5RS to STI or WRX swaps. I guess I am just more comfortable with them seeing as they are really the only car I have worked on.

All of those projects were on other peoples budgets luckily. My buddys father owns his own shop and he used to work on engines for NASCAR. So needless to say, he gets a lot of those jobs all the time. We were just lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time while someone brought a project to him and he showed us and started teaching right then and there.
