Drivetrain: How-To: Install B&M Shiftplus
Hey hack i did a little test and you can wait until you are in D at a stop you can put it into Stage I or II so you don't feel the lurching when you go from P to R to D or just P to D (you get the idea)
and be sure to add in the how to that the red wires with a black stripe may in some cases be orange wires with a black stripe like mine was

either some of you are colorblind....WE'RE colorblind......or GM used a different colored spool of hose when they made these wires. Because mine were definitely more of an orange than red color. Kinda dark orange, but definitely not red.

starting 06 they stopped using a red wire and started using orange. SOOOOOO the basic story is look for the red OR orange wire wrapped with the black one
^^^ I knew one of you would pop up... just like I know an 07 out there is gonna say "well you dont know what your talking about cuz I have red wires"
thats why i said look for red OR orange.... damn you haters... damn you all!

ok im having a problem with mine somtimes it shifts hard somtimes it doesnt! i dont know whats goin on somtimes ill start the car drop into D and ill get that big pound and other times i wont almost let it shuts off. and when its working when im driving slow ill get a nice hard shift but if i floor it from a stop when it shifts to second and 3rd it doesnt shift all that hard
give the box a squeeze along the long sides and push the button in a little more. make sure its making a connection... mine did that for a little bit, then i just wedged it a little tighter under the steerying wheel
mine is acting crazy i checked my connections and they seemed fine messed with the box got it tucked away tight and still doin the same thing i get a slicht lurch when going from P to D but when i turn the B&M OFF and then shut off the car turn it back on and go from P to D i still get a lurch like it wont turn off. somtimtes it seems like it is always on stage one or somthing when i get on the gas i really dont even feel a difference no matter what stage i have it set at.

Pretty sure you have figured it out by now, but mine was an early model 06 but it was made in late 05, checked the sticker in the trunk under the carpet, my friend put the Shift+ on his 05 LT and his was orange but his build sticker says 10-20-05 so maybe somewhere around that time they switched from red to orange?
And if you want to know where the sticker is pull up the trunk carpet/wood insert and mines on the left side of the spare tire slot.

Hope this will help you out a little and if nothing else contact B&M.
Put mine in today, it's not hard, agree with Kloppster the worst part is putting the rubber piece back in! haha
Instead of going under the steering wheel I hid my switch here

It's inside where the trunk release switch is

I don't know how anyone could possibly want this thing to shift any harder, in the second stage it kicks like crazy. The first one is a little harsh but not to bad. Overall it's a good mod!
