Hell the 6 liter is basically the same thing.. Its LS based, the parts are cheaper.. Most of the parts interchange and it has more cubic inches!

didnt goto cordova last night. Decided that getting **** faced drunk and having wild yummy sex with the woman would be more enjoyable than waiting 3 hours per run, and watching idiot ricers break their moms car...and dealing with drunks.

As tempting as that is, i'm gonna have to pass for now. I am going to focus on paying this car off before i start modding it. I bought this to be a nice DD/ road trip car. I'm not going to mod it for atleast a year or 2 (so i say now ). I'll let you know if i change my mind or find someone else that could use it though.

Does anyone know FOR SURE the Iowa Tint Law? I was CERTAIN that it was anything on the back windows and 70% for the front two.

Some friends who recently had tint done are telling me that you can't tint at all on the front two even though when we research it online it still says 70%. They still tell me it's illegal. The only reason I'm believing them at all is they just had it done.

Did the law change recently?

I've read they have some device they stick in your car to determine the amount of tint. If you tint heavily on the back and the two smaller sides it will give a false reading on the front two.

I've read where one guy had no tint on the front and still got pulled over, the little device they used indicated it was too dark... pffft can't remember what the final outcome was I just remember he said he had no tint on the front windows.

You roll down your window and the device clips over the glass edge to read the amount of light that will pass through.

A state trooper once showed me that his stock Crown Vic's windows passed 78% so obviously any tint would drop you below 70%... Then he gave me a fix it ticket for the 35% tint on my Z24.

I wonder how they calibrate those things, I've got equipment in my lab that'll be able to test it I bet.

My guess is they take a reading outside first then place it on your window for the second reading and it calculates the % difference....

My buddy says you can get a permit signed by your doctor allowing you to have tint. He has it with his new Eclipse. You get the form from the DOT, have a doctor sign off on it, and you're good to go. Anybody ever hear of anything like this?
