yep, It allows for 35% on the front windows. I have a few buddies with this exemption. You have to go to an optometrist to get it though. They will run you through a light sensitivity test.

i have had sooo many tint tickets that i cant even begin to count how many i have had so i definetly know the answer to this, in the front the amount of light that has to be able to come in is 70% so basically you cannot have anything in the front because 70% tint is completly useless/pointless, back windows there is no law for those, you can have it as dark as you want.

this is what the three cops said when they pulled me over and wrote me ciatation for it.

my front windows on my cobalt were only letting in 14% so the cops really hated me for it! hahahah

You know some insurance companies will raise rates for tint tickets? I know its dumb.. but When i was shopping around one or two of them told me they would.

When i got busted for speeding in north dakota in my balt they measured my 20% windows and said it was 14%. So if you remember my silver balt thats how dark it is lol.
I wonder if state farm does....i have one in my truck. Its not a moving violation so if they raise my rates im gonna be PISSED.

Some friends who recently had tint done are telling me that you can't tint at all on the front two even though when we research it online it still says 70%. They still tell me it's illegal. The only reason I'm believing them at all is they just had it done.

Did the law change recently?

Anything on the back windows and nothing on the front because your windows are 70% stock already

i'll have to check WI laws, prolly the same as iowa on the headlights and tails...or just get an extra set of tails, and tint them, and if i get pulled over for em, i'll just slap in the old ones

Up here in Cedar Rapids I went to REAM Autobody. They did a pretty good job. Even repainted my front bow tie.
