Hail sucks. There was some pretty big storms on your route back yesterday. My gf was going from Moline to Columbia MO, and got really lucky that she stayed out of most of the storms.

As for the AutoX, I am considering going, but it all depends if i can get off work. Do you knwo what the entry fee is by chance?

$35 for non-SCCA members, $25 for members. There is a $5 late fee if you show up late as well. It's on a Sunday- you have to work? That would suck, it's been a long time since I had a job that I had to work Sundays- must be retail or something your doing. Hope to see you there. You can check out Des Moines Valley Region of SCCA online and has the schedule and costs, locations, etc... I used to be big into it 3 years ago but had to take a hiatus b/c I got rid of my Subaru WRX for money reasons. My replacement 1990 BMW 325i would have been fun but I was afraid of braking a 19 yr old car that was my daily driver.

I actually work second shift weekends at a Wal-Mart Distribution Center. Not so much retail as it is logistics, but pretty close sometimes. It pays enough to make it worth working weekends though. I will have to check it out though.

Hahaha, hell yeah! You guys at the stores are the ones getting the bad side of Walmart. I get to do whatever the hell I want as long as I get my job done and pull a 95% every night, AND get paid nearly $25 an hour. Nothing like working 3 days, having 4 off, getting full benefits, and not having to do ****.

Yeah, the store is how WM gets all be bad raps about being a horrible employer. I honestly couldn't be a whole lot happier (of course I am never perfectly content. I mean, we have cookouts about once a month, and get prizes and gifts on occasion. Its pretty fantastic really, lol. I can get away with so much too...

It definitely isn't for everyone. It gets hard, especially in this heat. It gets up to about 120* on a normal summer day.

Umm, no, I am serious. This is in a big building with little ventilation. No heat index included.

Yeah, I am waiting to head to class for the most boring time of my life.

Nothing like going through a CNA class when I have been an EMT for 4 years.

They should just let you take the exam only and if you pass you get your cert...
