Looks like we'll have one more nice weekend before winter hits full force. Hopefully this time I can get it waxed instead of just washed and broken. Light you stored the balt for the winter yet?

not yet, it never really gets stored. I just start driving the truck when the snow hits the ground. Once the roads are clear and its not too messy out I drive the car just to stretch the legs a little.

lol... nice SPDDMN36, nobody ever trys that with me.

I'd say we could do a double photo shoot but I'm afraid the hail damage would show how bad my car looks. I haven't found any really good spots to take photos from though. I liked the red brick of this place in Anamosa. I should go back and get some shots with the new rims and headlights.....

I'm down for a double shoot, I was thinking wapsi park, stone city, or palasades kepler park, and don't worry bout the hail, I've got paint chips and a headlight full of moisture

man the car is running fine today, poor little 300 thought he was an SRT, tried to pass us all and get to the front of the line, instead he had to stare at my big as* wing as he ran out of room and had to slide in behind me..... lol....

Hey guys, just saw this thread and thought I would introduce myself. I'm new to the forum, and pretty much new to the Ecotec motor line. I live in Washinton, IA and I'm here to learn a little more about these engines. I recently purchased a LSJ engine (w/out the charger) and I'm going to do a little "tweaking" to this bad-boy over the winter. I'm not sure if this motor is going in a car/truck/or maybe even a drag-bike, but I'm building the motor up regardless. My goal is a 700 to 800HP alcohol injected, turbocharged beast. I believe Hahn Racecraft will be providing the boost, and I'll be trying to peice everything else together myself. If anyone wants to come down and help out or just shoot the ****, I'll buy the beer. And if anyone has any "lessons learned" or tips for this build, I'm all ears.
Jeff

That's an ambitious project you got to work on there Jeff, hope you have a heated garage. Can't wait to see what you finish up with.

Damn, I'd like to see you put it back in a cobalt, twin charged, methanol, screamin down the highway but that's just my opinion, and I might take ya up on that beer . I am glad its not snowing too, light, doesn't sound like we will see any until mid-week, my pops might buy me new hand lights so I don't have to deal with a water filled no turn signal light, getting frustrating driving that way and I got my first door ding today, woulda busted out the bastards window had he been there.

ouch... hate those dings. There really is no safe place to park anymore. I go to park out at a distance by myself and when I return there is always a car next to me. Dozens of other closer spots to park and they choose to park next to me. I've taken to parking in the last slot where there is nobody to one side.

Hey whats up guys? I'm new to the cobalt scene and rode in a friend of mines about four months ago and fell in LOVE with the car. I ended up buying an 06 Yellow ss/sc Cobalt about two months ago. No mods done yet but hoping to start doing some upgrading here soon. I live in Marshalltown, Iowa. About 45 minutes to and hour from Des Moines.

Thats just the thing about the ding, I parked where nobody was, woke up, nobody near my car but I have a ding/scratch below the passenger mirror. Still no snow but every night this week has a tiny chance.

Marshalltown you say? Ever see a red ss/sc with black halo's and huge SS stickers on the back window around?

I've noticed that since coming up here a few years ago, people like to put big ol stickers on the back window, a bowtie or pontiac ..... etc etc....

i personally dont understand the huge stickers, especially on a car that is already hard to see out of. I have a few ideas for minor stickers but not flamboyant. I'm not all about the 'hey look at me!'. I think my car does that for itself.

Next time you see him...make fun of it lol
