yeah, car was just to on position.. it stopped half way and shutoff...now i had to re solder all 3 wires in the black box.. but now car at WOT at 21psi goes to limp mode after a few secs.. this thing is pissing me off..

 

Do you currently have a Cobalt, or did I see you are in process of buying? I'm the body shop manager at Pat Clemons and have an 09 SS/TC in Imperial Blue. If you get one, you need to stop by sometime for me to check it out. There's also an HHR SS around town- silver- I think he may work either at Moffit Ford or at Top and Body b/c I saw the same HHR at a Body Shop meeting for the DNR. Maybe I'll see you around.

My old '09 Coupe ever pop up around Iowa? Pretty sure I saw it driving in Altoona, IA not too long ago. I had hoped they would post up because I left the pill and tune on the car when I dumped it. Whomever test drove that car was probably like holy cow!

Hey guys, I am just dropping by to see if any of you guys would be interested in a tune. I am trying to setup a road trip with a buddy of mine (Sean, Banhammer on here now). He tunes LSJ's, and is very good with them, and I tune LNF's. We would like to make a trip out your guy's way to do some tunes and would be willing to offer a deal if we could get a few out your way!

Really, if I can get a group of people in a certain part of Ia (minus the very west portion, haha) I would go wherever. I could do Des Moines, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, anywhere really. Heck, Davenport would be PRIME for me, haha, only an hour drive to there!!!

We will both be charging $250 for a street tune. It would be helpful if we could get a couple tunes together, to make it worth the trip out, ya know?

 

ya, true...and what is a street tune, compared to any other kind of tune?...

 

Street tune is done on the street, whereas a dyno tune would be the other option, and would be done on the dyno. Typically, you get slightly better results on a dyno, because each car reacts slightly different to each change, and we can track these changes on the dyno. You also would get a printout of your numbers, and we could maximize the power under the curve.

A street tune, we use our 'butt dyno', we go by how the car feels. Sean and myself can both nail a car down very well on a street tune. Some people prefer street tunes because it is more 'real world'-like. Basically, its what would be most useful day to day (not saying I can't do this on the dyno, because I can).
