i got 2 in minnesota and the tickets themselves are $128 each and the one in iowa i got was only in the $60s and i never took off my tint. it pisses me off cuz if you buy the glass already tinted with the etching in the glass sayin the transparency then it's legal but havin the exact same tint that wasn't factory on the glass then it's illegal.

if i buy a corvette and want the windows tinted i'm savin myself the trouble and buyin all new glass already tinted then even with the same 18% tint my car has it's still legal to have it and they can't do anything about it, no more tickets or hits on insurance for it

i'll never take my tint off sounds nice p, it definantly had some pull to it when we went for that ride

you don't need it apparently. a year and a half ago i left work and an uninsurred 16 year old girl slammed into the side of my ss and she didn't pay a dime. i had to pay the deductible and although she was proven at fault my insurance company told me she's uninsurred and since there's no insurance on her side to cover my deductible i had to pay for it. she got away with a small dent in the bumper and didn't pay a dime. i had $12,000 worth of damage to my car and had to pay for what she did. she just gave the cop an old insurance card from a cancelled policy and she never got in trouble for any of it... now i have to sue my old insurance company to get my money back...

Good luck with that one. Unfortunately, that's how it is and I wouldn't bank on ever seeing money back. We ran into that a lot with our customers when I worked at Morrie's. Never heard of one time where a customer got their money back in that situation. Unfortunately, when some idiot hits you without insurance, you're screwed...

 

why didnt the police do anything at the scene knowing she didnt have insurance or did they take her expired insurance and think it was okay?

 

Cops aren't required to ask for the most recent insurance card. As long as they see it's fairly recent, they will just assume that you are still covered since insurance companies mail insurance cards to their customers ever 6 months anyway. Cops usually have other things to worry about. lol

Today would've been a perfect day to install my mounts, but I had to deal with some bullshit with Qwest and my DSL again....I'm starting to get pissed off at them....on the other hand, I now have 12mb service and I did a speed test that registered 11.2 download and still under 1mb upload speeds (wish I could get faster upload speeds).

 

i loved qwest when i had dsl, but idk what they did; every telco has their retardedness.

im 20down 5up but in a town home complex where EVERYONE has cable my upload speed is RAPED. I get like 1mb up. its so flipping lame. In the cities I heard they have the 100down 50 up...that made me horny.

 

Well long story, but to start, I had 1.5mb service with them and leased a modem for nearly 2 years...it crapped out and I had them send a replacement...before the replacement came, I said the hell with it and bought a modem. When I received the replacement, I shipped the bad one back and asked for another RMA to ship the new one back because I just purchased a modem.

I received the RMA and sent the second one back....this was months ago...now I'm still being charged $8/month for a lease I don't have. I also upgraded to 7mb service for a year at the same rate as my 1.5mb...guess what...not only was my $8/mo. lease still on there, but now I'm paying $13 more per month for 7mb service.

I've talked to customer service multiple times about this and I keep getting a run-around...I'm ready to give up on the ******* and switch to cable. I don't have a contract with them, so it's no big deal. But I just spent $100 today on the new modem that supports higher mb service and the old modem I bought is still good, but doesn't work above 7mb service (10mb technically, but they offer 7, 12, 20).

Anyway. I've got to get a hold of someone with my tracking numbers saying that the modems were shipped back to them...hopefully it gets resolved soon...I should have about 5 months of free service coming to me.

I also need to cancel the home phone because we don't use it and it's a waste of $20+ a month. The only calls we get are collections.

Problem is I need to have constant access...my wife is doing online courses for school and we can't be down for very long...she had stuff due today and it was down (that's why I was running around for 2.5 hours trying to find a damn modem that works with the higher service...finally found it at Rosedale Qwest store...Best Buy is supposed to carry them, but nobody in the stores has ever heard of them, Qwest Northtown is out until Thursday, got the run around on the phone again for that stuff today). My wife had to go to her parents house to submit her homework. It's too bad the McDonald's is a mile away, otherwise I'd just use their wi-fi all the time...and all of our neighbors are smart enough to have passwords on their wi-fi (surprisingly).

 

actually my buddy's mom had previously worked directly with my old insurance company that i had at the time of the accident (aig) as an attorney and she said with personal claims they usually just pay up and don't even show at court so she said chances are very high i'll get my money back from them

she gave the cop an insurance card for a policy that was supposed to be good at the time but they had cancelled the insurance policy on the vehicle and never renewed it anywhere so the card said it was good but they had cancelled it...
