I don't want to go through the costs of upgrading the radio again, but I'd like to get that USB option...I went from a base radio with nothing to the XM, MP3 radio in my Cobalt....I got the head unit on ebay for something like $60 shipped then I spent about the same or a little more to have the dealer reprogram it to my VIN...$125 was a little much for a factory radio...next time, I'll just go aftermarket and find a nice double DIN that looks good.
Roulette is the only way to go in Vegas...that was the only thing I won money on...I think I was up $100 in a matter of 20 minutes, walked away from that table a little while later, played another casino and lost most of it...I don't play cards so maybe if I start doing blackjack or something else I could win....wouldn't mind playing WAR in Vegas, but the odds of course are against you.

I have never gambled with my own money in my life. Did $20 from the boss man on slots on a gambling boat in Florida and bet at the horse/dog track with my parents money and I got to keep the winnings.
looks like a good time in vegas jeff. did you find baby carlos and remember tigers love pepper but they hate cinnamon
btw i'm stuck in a base 4 door cobalt while my baby gets fixed... the weekend i was lookin forward to just ended up shitty as my engine is in pieces
agreed. they told me i'd have to buy the deck though. under warranty they have to replace the unit with the same thing, they can't swap

So, a couple weeks ago a few of you know that I swapped out the **** rear pads that GM blessed us with on our Turbo 'Balts and also installed some new rotors since my pads destroyed my rotors too.
For my rotors, I went for the slotted ones found on genuinesaab.com. Excellent quality, fit and performance. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
For the pads, I went with the Hawk Performance Ceramic Pads (part# HB478Z.605). Also HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Now, for the pictures...
Old Rear Rotors:

Both of these pads are my old right rear pads:

Both of these pads are my old left rear pads:

All old 4 pads side by side:

More pictures of the inner pads:

More pictures of the outer pads:

New Rotors installed:

Still think it's absolute BS that GM doesn't cover this under warranty. There's NO WAY that the inside pads should be that destroyed when the outer pads have that much pad life left. Clearly, something isn't right. But whatever I guess.
For the record, I had 22,000 miles when my rear brakes started grinding and replaced them shortly after.

I got my SCE copper header gasket and my Pacesetter 2.2 header today. I'll take a couple pics tomorrow...now to figure out when to install it.
So now I officially have headerS...lol.
Anyway, yeah, I'm hoping to get something installed this weekend (hopefully the motor/tranny mounts). That's probably the easiest project I have right now. Next would be the exhaust. The hardest is going to be my Pedders/SSTC stuff since I STILL DON'T HAVE THE PEDDERS!! I sure hope OTTP gets them within a week.
One more thing I want to ask everyone...anybody know who owns a black SS/TC coupe in Blaine? I've seen it a lot the last couple days...it's murdered out....tint, black stock SS/TC wheels, black headlights (maybe more, but that's all I noticed). Just curious if anybody knows this person?

Here's a pic I took of the Red Rock Canyon...The mountain to the left is the one we climbed all over. We made it about half way up

timing chain tensioner collapsed. fixed that and it didn't set right then the timing was off. with the timing off it broke some crap in half, threw rocker arms into the pistons and blasted one of em off the car. valve stems are bent from the pistons slamming into them too
deal, just tell me where the traction control button is on this stupid rental so i can at least have some more fun with it. they took the manual outta the car
btw that's an awesome pic jeff, very nice

^ yeah, i was pretty bummed yesterday. luckily i don't pay a dime for any of this and i know it'll be fixed so it's like new. when i stopped up there to pick up the rental yesterday i talked to justin and he apologized a few times and looked almost worried i'd be pissed.
i guess a collapsed tensioner isn't that uncommon but the new one didn't engage properly so it wasn't his fault. faulty parts caused the problem and i know they'll take care of me up there so oh well i guess

How many miles on your car? its under powertrain warranty right? or do you have extended warranty?
Mike - get the headers on!! cant be that hard in a NA car

tjack - well at least you have better brakes.
