Im actually not sure what all happened. I didnt go cuz i didnt want to drive down there to stand in the monsoon like rain that we were getting at my house. I think there were some people that showed up but they all went over to TGI Fridays to drink since it was raining. From what i read, they do all get together when the weather is bad. They all seem to really like to sniff out snow covered parking lots. Dont know if i could bring myself to do that though....

Well found a place... I love craigslist... anyway... started the job last week. Pretty cool I must admit to be back in the area. And its good to know there are a decent amount of Balts in da burgh. I was the lone wolf on the beach. Only modded balt in Myrtle, ran into a few Stage II guys during spring break and rocked their world lol.

Slayed alot of cars down there, Evo, Lotus, misc primer ricers with fatboxes on em, couple of v8s... ect
and I did get my ass handed to me a few times... **** SRT4 Neons and Cobra Mustangs anyway.

I do however love it when people size us up to be slow.... LOL!

I miss my beach weather though... anyway, the balt is still parked. Finally did the compression test and cyl 2 is screwed.

So I'll be ordering those forged pistons (moly & ceramic coated) from Diamond, getting a new clutch & flywheel (spec stage 3+), my head ported, valve and cam work done (flowtechnics) while I got her apart, probably save some money that way on labor if I get it all done at once...

Still got a long way to go.... and looking for tuners in the PGH area...

Looking forward to running into other balts

The amount of LSJs has really diminished in the past six months or so.

You know i didnt even really think about it until you said that. What, like 3 dropped all within like a month of eachother. I actually think me and you dropped the same day. Dave dropped late summer. I think Karla was getting rid or did get rid of hers. Theres 5 right there since summer. But there has also been some new people added to the mix, so maybe it balances out. Kind of a shame we didnt have 1 last big get together at QSnL like last summer....

Im actually dying to know who bought mine. Right after it was sold, i was sure i would see a new face pop up on here, but that didnt happen. Someone got a great car and unarguably one of the most well taken care of vehicles. That was my first new car so i kept it as prestine as i could.

yeah i was that way with my 2.2 then i totaled it out and i know someone bought it because of how well i took care of it but they actually got screwed because i parted it out and they got it withthe front suspension taken apart, the front brakes not connected...no exhaust system at all, and a bunch of spare parts thrown in to the back seat

Yeah, I'm surprised we haven't seen more of the recycled LSJ's popping up.

Oh well, mine will be with me till it dies.

That thought actually went through my mind. If I could swing it, I'd SERIOUSLY consider buying it and turning it into a One Lap car for 09.

I've got a place I could buy it and let it sit, know people that should be able to handle the wiring, etc. Maybe I'm really really bored one of these weekends, I'll take a trip and look at it, it's only about 3 hours away.

Nahhhh

If I had the cash and the place for it, I'd turn it into a dedicated track rat.

Hey Dan what do you think about the matchup tomorrow night between Pitt and Duke? I have only seen Duke once so far this year but as always they look stout. I am so glad that Pitt is now making the effort to schedule meaningful games prior to big east play. Win or loose thats gonna bump their stock. Good early test. Hopefully they play better than against Washington...

Yeah, Duke's been fairly solid so far... although Marquette gave them a decent fight. Pitt has been on top of their game too though, except for the Washington game.

I think Pitt will end up taking them. I think they play better defense than Duke. Duke has a strong offense... so it'll make for an interesting matchup.
