Yeah... a year ago, not this month. In fact I gave Tim an atta-boy this month and you called me a ZZP fan boy. Where's the third? Where are the other 24.

I get it.... you're an OTTP fan boy. You blow **** way out of proportion and are a **** stirrer. You can drive over there and see what is in stock and drive away with some parts. Good for you.

Its funny because I called you a fan boy because you seem to love the term. You called me a zzp fanboy in during one of your rants about zzp as well. You called 07blackg5 a fanboy earlier in this very thread. Truth is im not a fanboy of either. Im just tired of seeing you go into every thread and start telling everyone how they are wrong and you are an engineer so you are right.

Its funny how you call me a **** stirrer but if the whole zzp thing happened a year ago, they why wait so long to bring it up to everyone. We just talked about it back in november. That is far from a year ago.

Just some two cents, HGT I am happy to see you have the ***** to actually call out a vendor for poor product and customer service. I admit I'm bad about just eating my words if I get shafted so cool deal on your part.
Doubleclutch, I would say I feel bad your offended by hgt's truth but at this point just get over yourself. Its a half ass vendor that multiple people have had issues with for some time and it needs to be known.

As for the INSULATORS, gm designed these to not conduct heat up to the electric solenoid as much from the head. YES multiple manufacturers use aluminum, but gm didn't. Also using the rubber and plastic reduces the shock from the combustion process up to the solenoid. The whole deal about return fuel systems and returnless.... you just need to go to tech school and learn why **** was the way it was. Return systems are better for operation overall but due to cost of our newer high pressure in-tank fuel pump assemblies, the more mechanically complicated return system, and the labor associated, a return-less system has become standard now that we can pwm the pumps at higher pressures and have a reduced number of fail points. This is all basic **** you learn to become a technician and should be **** you know if your going to design parts for a platform.

You need to re-read if you think I give a damn about him calling out josh. Im just tired of him whining about everything and always arguing with everyone. If you dont believe me, why dont you go take a look at the race thread with the ctsv. I think youll find a common denominator.

Did you not read what I wrote about fuel heating in tank and emissions? That was the primary concern back in the early 90's right before obd2 was coming on board. There were no PWM pumps in gm vehicles back then.

As for my background and schooling. I always hated school, never felt challenged. Still went to college through the gm ASEP program. It's just two associates degree's, and requires you to work at a dealer during that time actually working on cars. I also took some extra engine machining courses, boring/honing blocks, valve guide replacement/reaming/honing, valve jobs... I was and am ASE master certified for cars. I also went to the GM tech center multiple times for training on new vehicles and took all the online classes. I was a world class technician through their program, I'm not anymore as I don't work at a dealer.

While my formal education stops there I am self taught in a lot of things. I've also taken course's on race car suspension and handling, design and fabrication, tube bending, welding, CNC programming, solidworks...etc.

Lol. A degree doesn't mean anything to me. Some of the dumbest people I have met have been very well educated.

Anyone here that has an automotive degree and currently works for a car division will reiterate exactly what you said.... and then be called a Know-It-All by those that don't have a clue.

I too went to A top school in the nation for my Automotive Associates degree. SCC Milford
I have been an ASE Master + L1 since 1983 and still hold that. 35 years.
Worked for 10 years as a Chevrolet / Cadillac technician specializing in electrical and drivability.
Colorado Certified to train in post secondary schools.
Worked for General Motors / ACDelco Training Dealer technicians in Denver and Portland Oregon GM Training Centers for 5 years
Received my Bachelors Degree from General Motors Institute all while raising a family and working full time for GM.
After receiving my Electrical Engineering / Business degree was promoted to a field engineer position where I worked with dealer techs to fix what they were failing to fix. For another 5 years.

But who gives a ****... I'm just a Know-It-All

yes. i had to explain to a fellow senior why a rolling wheel was a static coeff of friction while a skidding was kinetic. Master's was a bit harder (but that same student eventually got a PhD so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).

at least it's not communications or kinesiology

Do you realize you are agreeing with someone who thinks " the shock from the combustion process" is the reason for the insulator.

People still won't believe that return style fuel systems heat fuel. Here is a link. http://www.airtexproducts.com/suppor...tech-low-risk/
Looks like it was done for emissions and lower cost.

Back to conducting heat into the injectors, after a short ride its all within a few degrees anyways. It's done on so many vehicles, injector right into an aluminum manifold or cylinder head....I'm repeating myself again.

Really a business degree and high gain tuning still has a bad rep?
