Also scored a Nikkor 35mm 1.8g today as well. I probably won't be buying another lens until my birthday in February, but do you guys think I should opt for a 55-200 or grab a 50?
Also slowly grabbing misc equipment when I can afford it in between.. hoping to grab a backpack next.

Depends on what you're shooting
Tamron's 70-300 has vibration reduction second to none. I have the Nikon AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED as well as the Tamron 70-300MM F/4-5.6 Di VC USD. The Tamron gets far more use, believe it or not. Especially for action and panning shots. Great lens for the money. My opinion anyway, i've not used the Sigma

Ah, I see. For zooming into your neighbor's backyard whose wife is skinny dipping, eh?

I can't think of any scenarios where I would be using a 300, so that's why I just opted for a 55-200, since it compliments the kit lens, but I guess I'll figure it out soon enough.
My sister has a canon sx something that zooms to 840mm. I'd killlllll to try a lens on my slr that could zoom like that camera. Even that 400mm would be amazing to play with.
Love photography.
Own a D600 with a 24-70 2.8f, 35mm 1.8f, 85mm 1.8f.
Next lens will most def be a 70-200 2.8f.
Then i only need the 14-24 2.8f and i got the Nikon Trinity of lenses.
