At those prices, I'd just save up for a better body lol imo it's not worth it, especially for hobbyists. The one I got is good, works well, and was priced well.

Yeah the Pro 1D is expensive but I guess its worth it.
i will warn you it takes awhile to get them. they come from hong kong, but they are the real deal, no fakes. but for the price its well worth the wait.

i dont agree with that...a better body can't fix things that a filter can.

Those are cheap as hell for filters. Go to a local camera store and see how much they are. You can get cheaper filters also but it will show with the quality of the shot. Just look above where the guy has major vignetting in every shot.

Also, spending $150 on filters, what upgrade can you get for $150? Going on Canadian prices, the XSI was $900 when I got it, I could maybe sell for $650 then add $150 back to it and I am back at an XSI. Now if I want to sell for $650 and then spend $600 more, I could get the 50D but thats $600 and these filters are only $150 and will work on any 77mm lens so seems smarter to buy a filter

Yeah I know but I am not in a rush and at these prices, I can afford to wait. I was worried they might be fake but after reading a few reviews, i went for it. One dude in Vancouver got his in just under a week and paid $5US for shipping

crusin i hope you didnt spend more than 30 bucks on that thing because if you did you got ripped...

honestly if you dont have any real use for a fisheye i wouldnt get one... they arent worth money unless you know and understand the uses for them...

TRUTH.

Unless I have 700 bucks to just completely blow on something I would buy a fisheye but other wise they are useless for the most part.

I work at a camera store go ahead and spend the big money on a filter that is awesome, but does maybe a minute amount of difference than mine. Looks like mine did great with these pictures in direct sunlight at 3pm in the day.

(Vignetting was applied afterwards, no vignetting whatsoever on the originals)

So... my girl somehow talked me into letting her get a dog. He's a black lab and is very difficult to photograph because he's normally a squirmy little ****. However, here he is (in the background) with his sis:

And one more of his sis:

your shutter speed was way too low on the first one... 1/3" is too slow to be handheld....

i know, but there was very little light and i hate using flash. i could actually use some advice for handheld shots in low light if you could help.

you have a couple options. put your xt on ISO 1600 and deal with the noise. or use an external flash. bounce off the ceiling.

Look up handheld techniques. You can wrap your strap around your arm to stabilize the camera.

lol
It's called a depth of field preview button. If you press it, it will open the shutter to the f stop you have selected to show you what the actual depth of field will look like if you were to take the picture.
