Just took my Cobalt back to the dealer, AGAIN. This time for the sunroof switch. It's pushed up into the headliner about 3 times already, each time I fixed it myself but this last time just got sick of dealing with it. All the dealer did was replace the switch retainer and bezel. It's in place now, but still feels like at some point it's going to pop loose again.

I've been in the shop 7 times since January 30. But thats what your warrenty's for. Don't worry about it until you've had you car 3 years or 36,000 miles whichever comes first. Than againg you might want to worry about it a little sooner than that so you get a new car before the warrenty runs out

PCM problems. ENG PWR REDUCED kept flashing up. Left me stalled several times and almost got me killed as I stalled while turning in front of a truck. Luckily it was a hill.

Do not know what fixed it as car was wrecked before it was fixed. It didn't give me any problems for 2 months. It was like a odd happen thing.

if you dont know how to launch and drive, the clutch, as well as the typical **** that goes with a 4cyl econo... rattles, squeaks, sunroof bezels falling off, paint flaking, warped rotors, crappy paint, clunking when turning, axles going snap, but overall thats pretty minor stuff. I wish I could get the fit and finish and tightness of my mazda 3 into the cobalier.

I have a problem. Something in my engine compartment makes a humming noise right before I hit 3,000 rpm in ever gear (but 1st). My friends think it's an exhaust shield or something but I'd like a second opinion. Thanks everyone!

my first and only problem I've had: broke my driver side axle at the track Friday night, on my first run ....I've read story after story about it on here, so its fairly common.

08 ss/tc keeps blowing fuel pump fuse.. very frustrating dealer cant find anything wrong because as soon as you replace the fuse all is good for a couple hundred miles.

Have them check the fuel pump wires on the fuel pump it self. I seen a TSB about it on here once and that's what it said to fix it.

I only had a sunroof leak and that was it. But I wanna bring it in for 3 TSB's. The infamous 2008 cobalt gear grinds, the knocking in the steering wheel at slow speeds, and the long crank issue. But my engine does start. But it's a longer crank than it should take to start the car. Especially for a car with only 3003K miles!

Mine before I got rid of it was in the shop more than it was on thye road for pretty much everything all of you have been in for. It finally got so bad that I did not feel safe driving that car for fear I would be out in the middle of no where and the POS would break down leaving me stranded or waiting for a tow truck. Not only that but they voided the warranty on my trani because of the aftermarket clutch.

Hence the last time it broke down I fixed it on the side of the freeway and drove it to the first ford dealer I could find and bought me a 05 mustang GT. I have had that car now for several months and not one thing has happened other than taking it back to have them flash the PCM with as built data to get the back lights on the radio again.

I will never buy a GM product again.
