Honestly, I don't care...
Does post count divide things? A lot of times yes, some are considered n00bs because they have only a few posts. But on the other hand, sometimes the new members misinterpret post count as a correlation to member knowledge.
I think not counting the Lounge/Dungeon posts is the best solution.
If my post count disappeared, or was reduced to tech section posts only i wouldn't mind...

No, to me it shows that you been around for a while and you understand the site and forum based sites so for the newer members they can look at that and ask you for help.

I think that the post counts should stay. There are a lot of people on here that interact, and usuall from the post count when I am asked a question, I can base my response upon how long they've been here. As for example, for a newbie I would be apt to explain things a little better in detail than for someone that has been around these cars longer. It's also helpful in distinguishing spammers and people that come on here just to start trouble.

Look at me, I've got lots of posts, doesn't mean I have lots of knowledge.... I say don't count the lounge/dungeon posts.

HAHA it should be answered but we'll be ok, and yea I agree to.....but you can't narrow out posts from a few sections on a forum, unless vB has a patch or mod I don't know about, when I was in the phpBB forums there was nothing like that.
