New header & down-pipe sale!
No extension is required for the O2 after the cat, the O2 lead going to the header needs to be pulled out of frame hold down. this is just a plastic push pin that holds the lead to frame. very easy to do, just need a good pull or use a flat head screwdriver to pry it up.
This is really starting to suck. I paid in full the 27th of june and it hasn't even been shipped. I know its not your guys fault because your waiting for the flex sections and you don't make them in house so i'm not mad at you guys i just really want the header and downpipe
It will only "add" on top of the current tune you have now. Its only getting rid of the air quicker and more effieciently thus creating more air flow and more room for the 'tune' to work. basically.
I took an extended weekend with my family.
The first order of flex sections arrived today. Todd will be assembling DP's tomorrow.
We did ship a few orders last week. The header only order shipped and a tracking number was emailed. Please check your email. It will be coming via Fed Ex.
Everyone please understand, of the 25 down pipes we need to get built, only 3 are the same. That means every other one is being custom built to each customers specifications. After going through every invoice and creating the build sheet for the shop, I never should have allowed so many options. The plus side to this is every one of you has a down-pipe and header combination being buit specifically for YOU. The down-side is we have to build 22 different down-pipes.
Also, some combo's are shipping out of order. Ceramic coating adds a week to the process so it doesn't make sense to let other orders sit. Please remember, this was a group purchase to allow everyone to get in together and save money. No products were built or in stock at the close of the GP. With parts being ordered as soon as we had everything production ready, I think we have done a good job getting a product, which didn't exist, from development to production fairly quickly. Remember, when ordering parts there are three categories to consider:
1. Fast shipping
2. Low price
3. High quality.
Like the old saying goes, "pick two". In this case you guys got the discount prices and the highest quality header available.
Now please don't get me wrong. We really love this forum and dealing with all of you. I'm not mad or up-set at any of our customers for asking for up-dates, etc. But consider this; with private messages, forums thread responses, email responses and phone calls, I estimate I spent 3 hours today writing, posting or giving phone up-dates about the header and down-pipe. As a result, what I didn't get done was to shape the ports on 10 Cobalt headers so Todd could do the finish work on them when he comes in tomorrow morning.
As I keep saying, we are a small shop with just a handful of us doing all the work. As such we can either be in the shop working on your parts, or we can be on the computer or phone with you explaining what is left to be done. They're your parts, you all decide how you want us to spend our time.
So, who's wants a daily up-date?

Sorry for being a pain dan lol I just really want this thing im excited. This is the first header I have EVER bought for any car. I never thought I would buy a header for any car as long as I lived. That's why I just can't wait to get my hands on this!
I just hope you get me the header by next week, but its doubtful if you are only that far into it. I really wanted to put it in while I have the head off the car, but I have no choice, i'll have to wait and do it later. Thats life, its all good.
yOUR saying you should of never offered so many options for the dp how many options did you offer? Its either you want a 3 inch exit or a 2.5 you want the slip over thing or you dont and wheter or not you want a extra bung thats only 3 options!
To the people who are bitching about this, if you didn't want a custom header, you shouldn't have bought one... It's a smaller shop that does good quality work, not some huge mass producer in China working 24/7. If you wanted something quickly you shoulda bought a ZZP or CA or Vibrant or Pacesetter or any of the other headers that are pre-made and ready to ship... I am just about the most impatient person in the whole world, and I am gonna be patient for this because I know it will be a nice product... Soo let's give Dan and Beth and Clear Image some respect and let them do their jobs...
It just sucks that dan himself said it wasn't going to be one of those gb where you purchase it and a month later still don't have your product. But looks like its turning into that type of gb. When he said a couple weeks and they will be shipped I was hoping id already have it by now. Looks like it'll be closer to august instead of the middle of july cuz that's already past

I'll be back on-line later tonight.
