I would say no. The intake is on the other side on the SS/SC. However, it you really wanted to "make it work" then I am guessing that you could if you cut and weld it enough!

that ARC cone filter i had was terrible... i can hear the blow off even from 1st to 2nd now... wit that arc i only could hear it from 2nd to 3rd

I start hearing boost when I'm still in vacuum

I figured I would go with the AEM since it doesn't need to be oiled so I don't set off any codes

Choko, here is a description of the code and the conditions under which that code is set:

This DTC tests for proper intake manifold vacuum flow to the evaporative emission (EVAP) system

Conditions for Setting the DTC
• The control module detects weak vacuum during a purge condition.
• The fuel tank vacuum is less than -1 inches H2O for 4 seconds continuously or 50 seconds cumulative, within 10 minutes of cold start.
• The 11 second test can run up to 10 times within 10 minutes of cold start and must be completed before this DTC will set.

Sounds like a loose gas cap code to me.

We made a intake similar to that and ran it all the way down behind the bumper area, but it made no difference on the dyno. We tried a couple different air filters and came up with no real usable gains. On a stock car, the airbox/intake is setup pretty darn good from the factory.

Pretty much everything will have an effect on the MAF sensor. Nothing a tune wouldn't take care of tho

True. But it's definitely worth it for the sound over stock

I wonder if I can get a custom pipe made that will have 2 outlets from the intercooler, one going to the manifold and one for the intake . Any takers?

The pipe that is the one on the passenger side of the intercooler going into the manifold. Have a custom pipe made that will have 2 outlets, one for the manifold and one for the intake.

I just wanted to mention that because PimpLay2 had said that he couldn't hear the turbo with his filter until he got a different filter

Soo basically your intake will be a "SRI", or Short Ram Intake? Pulling in air from the engine bay as opposed to behind the bumper?

Another one of you guys with this "it pulls hot air from the engine bay" mentality. Check back a page or 2, we already covered this issue.

Agreed. That would totally mess up the airflow and just in general, doesnt make sense. lol

i love the sound but i just dont like how its pulling air from engine bay.. i do have ss style hood so my engine bay is a little cooler then others.... i exented the pipe and its right by the stock intake hole right beside the fender...

i feel a little safer

1.) I have read every single post in this thread.
2.) I am NOT "another one of those guys with this 'it pulls hot air from the engine bay' mentality", because I have a SRI on my 2.4L Cobalt. I don't think the difference between the SRI & CAI affect performance that much anyways.
3.) I was asking TTR whether THEIR intake will be a SRI, or a CAI.

However I feel it's unlikely that you're really seeing that big of a differance. Looks cheap IMO, I wouldn't do something so cheesy to my car, certainly not a brand new car at that.

My custom intake
