EFR 6758 is good for numbers past 500 but not much more. Believe its rated at around 490ish so on E85 or Meth numbers past 500 should not be to hard to reach.

Will post up some LSJ vids in a few weeks off a 6758.

Seriously? I am trapping over 135 in the 1/4! We have made over 550whp on E85 with the 6758. This is about 170 higher than the stock turbo made on the same motor. You can't just look at the compressor maps, but if you want to say this turbo is good to 400, then you should be pointing out how the K04 is only good to about 280. To put it into perspective, the 6758 is good for 40% more than the K04. Trust me when I say that it is enough for 99% or more people modding their LNF Cobalt.

On E85, my car logged a 60-125 hit a hair faster than a Buggati Veyron, faster than a new ZR1, and about 4 seconds faster than a GTR, but if I switch back to gas, then I will be barely beating bolt-on stock turbo Cobalts.

One thing thast surprises me is how people still use old school rule of thumb calculations to figure out how much power they can make with a turbo. Guys, we aren't driving DSMs from 1992. We have higher compression, direct injection, and variable cams. Our cars put down more power at the wheels than older cars could measure at the flywheel on the same turbo.

Kinda wish i put my car on the dyno after mdubs dialed it in to see the gains on 93 but just got lazy/ bored with the car. This turbo makes plenty of power for a DD even on pump gas and to be honest its scary to drive on winter tires

I'd like this setup in a Sky Redline. It would be much more useable in a FR config than FF imo. I am just so worried about the block issues that have been popping up for the LNF engines. I wonder if it's possible to put the LNF top end onto a LE5 bottom end with custom pistons made for the bigger bore of the 2.4L so the DI will still work properly. More or less thinking out loud. I'd like to have a HHR SS as a dd with this turbo setup on pump gas. Matt, what kind of numbers on the track do you think a HHR would run? I was thinking mid to low 11's.

You're right, but not everyone wants to run that turbo maxing it out. Even in my case, I can only use 91, I don't have e85.. In that quote you pretty much state that EFR is only good with e85, If you go to regular pump, its not worth it? cause I dont want to barely be faster than what my car is now. I want to be 100 whp faster.

Another note. I'm on a bunch of forums, and I post this info whenever you guys update it. I believe the car you have right now can do 60-130 in under 7 seconds the 136 trap says it all. But 5 seconds I will not beleive without a vbox run verification. That's just retarded, sorry to say man. I'm not putting ZZP down as you guys are the ONLY company putting great info out for us.

Let's get some vbox verification so I can add it to this list.

I think you are looking at it the wrong way and you will have no problem taking it over 400whp 400wtq. Look at the numbers at 6000+rpm compared to the ko4 and the EFR is still pulling hard! You guys must be comparing a Ko4 with E also cause last time i checked it wasn't making crazy power on pump. Compare apples to apples and its a big difference..

We can also use hp tuners to get accurate readings of 60-130. V box would be the best but hp tuners works to.

ohh, you mean he was comparing e85 stock turbo vs pump gas EFR.Yea it is a big difference. I still think he should test regular pump gas now too. We all know the positives of E85, and how much power it can make over regular pump. I'm not denying the EFR, it has some massive top end power just by looking at the dyno graphs. I want the EFR no doubt about it. Would like some info on regular 91/93 octane numbers now. For real world situations for people like me.

Really? hp tuners is a sick tool then... I might have to get that then over a vbox mini.... but then again I can vbox with any car I go into.

Yeah mine will be on the Dyno shortly and at the track and its a 6758 on 93. Only difference is its on a LSJ. Donkeyballs needs to get on the dyno since he is LNF and on the EFR.

Hp tuners tells you speed and gives you time down to the .000 so you have to do a little math but can be done pretty easy. How much does a vbox cost? I would like to have one if there only a few hundred bucks.

vbox mini is 500, but it is sick. gives you all your 1/4 mile trap speed all that stuff. and when you go to a track you can set up the start and finish of the track for your lap times. When my friend goes canyoning thats pretty much his track and he just goes over and over with his vbox to see his best time. It's a pretty cool thing to have.

I would like to know how much donkeyballs is hitting, but he is on e85. There shouldnt be that much power difference forom LSJ and LNF with an EFR on pump.. not more thatn 20whp worth at least..

My car made 398/397 @ 23~24 psi on 93oct with factory exhaust and some **** plugs. I'm on a 26psi 93oct tune now and it gained a **** ton of power with no knock or missfires now. I never put it back on the dyno though so I don't have numbers to back up my claim but I don't really care about numbers cause I know it moves out

I really thought the sarcasm would be obvious. No, you will not lose 150whp worth of potential if you run pump gas rather than E85. Most people running pump gas K04s with full bolt ons dyno between 300 and 310 on our dyno. 425whp would be pushing the 6758 less than 310 from the K04.

I said 60-125, not 60-130. Of course the last 5mph would be the slowest acelleration as well. That would mean that 60-130 is in the area of 6 seconds, which is slower than you have listed for the Veyron. This makes sense, because I'm sure that car would outperform the Cobalt at speeds past 120mph. At some point, I am acellerating quicker, because we trap close to the same mph even though I am not on high boost until the top of 2nd gear. Of course this is earlier Veyrons that trap around 137, not a later version or super sport.

On another note, did anyone ever notice that the Veyron motor has the same bore and stroke as the LSJ and LNF?

I did not know that we had the same bore and stroke at the Veyron. What does that mean? Is the bore and stroke we have optimum for top speed, acceleration, power or all?

Ok so this new EFR will spin the wheels all the way up to 125mph, What can be done about traction?

1: stickier tires
2: wider tires
3: Lower front tire pressure
4: stiff rear springs and struts
5: trans and engine mounts

anything else? RWD or AWD? j/k

If I were to pick up this turbo, I would be in the 93 octane group. Like I was asking before, what kind of power would you expect to see with basic mods (tune, intake, charge pipes and intercooler) on 93?

I will get 93 octane numbers eventually. When I am done with all E85 testing, we will see what pump gas can do.

Are you gonna put the stock cam and head on? If i had extra time i would love to bring my car out to see what you guys could get out of it but i have too much going on. Maybe at the end of winter i'll have you guys do valve springs and cam. I'm running a pretty conservative tune right now so i know i have room for decent gains but i like it safe and reliable. Also would like a different intake maybe one of your SRI to fit on my setup.
