It doesn't have to be mounted that low. It can be slid up a little when mounted.

my bad, I definitely missunderstood ryan. No big deal, the main goal was to stop the bashing.

No biggie. He did ask me what the dimensions were on the Treadstone core that we had while he was on the phone with you, so I can see where the confusion would come from. That core is too big for a Cobalt without modding the front end. I run it on my Grand Prix, however. It makes a nice tool bench.

You can't use the line from the charge tube because it will never see vacuum which is required to open the valve. You have to use the port on the intake or the port on the solenoid used to control the factory bypass.

i tried the one that controlled the factory bypass but when i run on that on i can only boost at the most 10psi cause the bov stays open and leaks boost under throttle... what does the line that goes direct in the intake go to i was thinking of blocking that off and running the bov straight to that or putting a tee in there?

The line from the intake runs to a vacuum tank on the front of the motor. It is used as the vacuum source for the factory bypass so that it can still open the bypass while you are in boost if the ECM wants to intervene. On our turbo upgrade kits, we remove the vacuum tank and use the fitting on the intake for the BOV.

Here is a link to when I installed my kit. ITs a TR8 but the charge pipes are set up the same. The vacuum line needs to be teed off. Then the line that ran to the lower CP needs to be "T"ed into the intake mani so it is hooked up to a boost source. As my sig says this setup for me is good for up to 24psi. I am running a BPV block off plate from treadstone as well. If you have anymore questions pm me.
