Fail.

Do a little research before you assume going back to the stock tune is undetectable.

Here's what you gotta do: *fap fap fap*, go to sleep, wake up in the morning and it'll be one day closer to it's release. You should see the size of my forearm!

Having done aftermarket mods to several cars I have had, the idea that the original manufacturer is going to up the power AND keep the warranty is simply amazing. These cars are quick as hell from the factory and with the added power that we will get will be damn near useless. People need to more satisfied with what they already have. If owners will learn to drive the car to its potential NOW , they might be reluctant to really get any more power. With the new power comes more exagerated problems that we already have ie .wheel spin, understeer. You will reach the limitations of the car with this reflash and you wont have to do dick to the car afterwards. Take comfort in the fact that you can tint the car and reflash it and you are DONE. You want even higher power goals , you should consider a different platform to build. But for now Chill the hell out and enjoy that you have a car that can get 30mpg , hang with an EVO X, and has a warranty.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with Bowtie. I do not think given GM current financial situation we will be seeing this kit. The first quarter of 2009 is nearly over. I hope they do come out with it though.

I must respectfully disagree. anything already designed and fabricated is something that can be sold for profit. It will be sold, how many is questionable.

Yeah ok ! Thats why they cut costs on Nascar 30% .

Thats 30% of advertising cut ?

Advertising sells cars. Winning races sells cars.

Nascar has been around longer then the SS/TC Stage kit ?

Selling cars is for profit so how do you justify that?

BANKRUPTCY

News flash, the kit is being made by GMPP and is not going bankrupt with GM. GMPP is a seperate part of GM and is actually making money.

Yes I know what GMPP stands for lol. I'm just saying it is a seperate division of GM that is actually making some money. Hasn't Tom from Crate Engine Depot already confirmed the kit to come out around April. He even said it's coming with an intake tube, not an intake but a new better flowing tube from the factory airbox to the turbo.

Same here ......... Once the kit is released for us tuned guys

Advantages - More sensors allow for higher air flow monitoring 3bar
New O/S with more Parameters for tuning

Disadvantages - HPtuners will take a while to get the stage kit tune/OS
Sensors will still cost 450 bucks

Yea, where can I get these sensors and what not. I don't want to go through the dealership to get them cause I'm not stock. I have a Pychostevo tune, will they work with that or the OS solely?

yeah a dealer is still going to have to reflash your ECM, you can install the parts yourself, but with out their software, the parts are useless

Unfortunately correct. The factory OS will not read above 255 KPA.

Update!!!!! New Info

Hey guys good news and bad news.
the parts rep for my dealer was in today and i started nebbin him about the kit. we made a series of phone calls and to make a long story short.......
WE ARE GETTING THE UPGRADE FOR THE COBALT!!!!
however the guy told us its looking like 2nd quarter now. i have a case number and im supposed to call this guy back after easter if no public news has been released
he said the cobalt would have been out the same times as all the other kits, however the factory intake was to restrictive, so they had to design a new intake for the cobalts which will be included in the kit.
SO.. THE KIT WILL COME WITH SOME SORT OF AN INTAKE!!!!
i do not know if it will be a short ram, orjust a new pipe form airbox back, ect... he did keep calling it a cold air intake assm.
he said rather than selling it as another accesory, they have to include it in our kits.
he also could not tell me a price. so, there it is believe it or not , and i cant give you the number i have to call as you will need a dealer code, or give the name of the guy i talked to. sorry.... so for all the ppl who want hard evidence plz dont beat me up im doin all i can.
