Are you guys serious? We auctioned off a turbo. Someone chose to pay the price they paid. Now others think its unfair?

Maybe 25k for a hole powertrain setup.
na dude not at all..... try 25k for a built big block/small block that can handle well over 1500hp for boost. you want the best you need to pay..... lunati internals, nascar based 18* heads with berillium valves and such... yeah things add up quick when you shooting for mid 6's low 7s without breaking the first couple passes. list adds up... i got almost 30k just into the rolling chassis, rear end, wheels and tires, brakes, and so forth.

should put 4k into some English lessons too btw.
Plus I didn't say I wuldnt pay 4k for a simple turbo swap. I so would due to the spool and power it makes.

what did u think i was talking about a street car lol?(not trying to sound like a dick so take it with a grain of salt please) im just putting things into perspective... even having big power on the street costs a pretty penny ESPECIALLY is your on a blower or turbo and even more so if you cant do the work yourself.

Don't get me wrong but I would of been all over this turbo if I saved the money and stayed bolt-ons.

if someone is willing to pay it then let them. they much have had the money for it and didnt mind the price and wanted some exclusivity.

Yeah, I wasn't directing that towards you. It was meant for the people saying its a ripoff, raping, way more than it's worth, etc...

im sure most of this is directed at me matt and slowline. zzp can and in fact did charge whatever they wanted for the turbo. i wouldn't pay that much for it....i would seek alternative options. i can see how someone might see it as a value....exclusivity, efr's are out of stock, etc.....to me however, it is not. at some point in the near future i am going to be dropping 10k maybe more into my hhr and i will be and have been looking into the efr, especially the zzp bolt on. i hope the price is more around the 2k mark or i will not be buying it and in fact zzp has hinted that we will be pleased with the pricing when the low 2k range was talked about. you can buy the pwerks kit for less than $3400 and it comes with more. yeah you have to "make it fit" but that wont be that difficult to do. hell i even posted more than once that it would sell for more than 3k.

That's good news, otherwise many would be let down. I know there are at least 3 of us in the GTA that are seriously waiting for this turbo to come out. Of course now the question has to be "when will the production run will come out?"

What's with all this complaining about people complaining over pricing? It seems more that people are speculating trying to figure out what to budget for. What's wrong with that? If someone does complain it's usually because someone made an outrageous statement like "it's gonna cost 10k".

Okay, so now I'm guilty of complaining about people complaining about people complaining about price (even if there are none). LoL!

they did the smartest thing they could do price...price it ultra high and let it come down until someone clicks that buy button... they did nothing wrong in my opinion. in my eyes the price was high too BUT i would of done the same thing in their boat.

Or you can take a lq4 or lq9 block, stock ls1 crank, your choice of internals for under 5gs. Trust me im doing it right now. Mine is going to be more because i bought some LSx heads and might be doing the lsx block. My fbody went 10.82 stock internals with a 150 shot and a 3500 yank stall. Motor is still running as we speak

Funny you said that my buddy has that in his iroc-z, got a lq9 block. Was just on the dyno today but ran out of fuel at 6200 he said. Put down 616 on the 88mm turbo.

lq9 will handle over 1000hp. you can pick them up for like 300bucks.
