In a few years the new Cruze SS will be out and the Cobalt fever will be lost.....so this is the question you should all be asking!!! Will you be keeping your cobalt for 10 years to give a **** whether or not zzp comes out with this Turbo again? Don't know about you guys but I'm the type that changes cars every 3 years so once the Cruze SS comes out ill be all over it if its 2 doors. if its 4 doors then ill take my self and buy a Focus ST.

Well, the Balt may be dead but the LNF is here to stay so the work they are doing is not in vain.

Line you said "Moving on", I had an SS/TC and wanted RWD so LNF+RWD= Sky Redline. Very happy with it!

Well, I've decided to get a Golf R or GTI, but those are second if the Cruze SS is real

I love my GTI, even though a gas tune only SS/TC would rape me in a straight line. (But the interior, full tq at 1800 rpm's, looks, and ride quality make up for it on my daily commute.) I'm gonna wait a few years on the GOLF R, a few years down the road the US should get the higher output version.

Yeah, the more and more I read about the GTI MK6 version the more and more I want it. I was really really close to taking a huge financial hit after my test drive by just getting one, but I'm was able to control myself lol.

I just love the refinement of it. It's by far the most refined car under $25k with a turbo in my opinion.

Its definitely a better car overall IMO. My buddy has a Stage II MK5 GTI and when I drove it, it's slower for sure, but it's not a boring car. It surprised me for sure. The stock MK6 is a dog though. If I choose GTI, I'll have to get a stage 1 the same day.

Also don't forget almost anything that bolts on a LNF engine (minus a few exceptions) will bolt on to the E85 ready LHU engine.
Which also automatically compensates for any blend of E85 you put in the tank.

So the turbo has more applications then just the LNF.

Also stock for stock the MK6 GTI is quicker than the MK5 GTI (all MK5's other than the 09 GTI Came with the FSI motor.) Their output on paper hasn't changed, but when you put an FSI motor next to a TSI motor on a dyno, the TSI will put down 10-15 more whp) Also don't rule out the DSG. Its got a built in launch control and shifts faster than any manual possible can. (And improves gas mileage)

Trust me i looked at the sky 5 times before i bought the cobalt but i have kids and need the rear seats sometimes. I'm really thinking about building a 95+ 240sx with a SR20det swap and putting my EFR on it. I'm not looking for crazy power just a nice looking car that will run 12's, decent handling and can drift.

X2

When I bought my car I told myself I have to keep this car for 6 years to justify the taxes, delivery, and when you keep it for many years the depreciation is very reasonable.

I won't be buying a new car in the future mainly because having a nice car is overrated. I take care of my car and I have two door dings and a scratch on the front bumper that were all done by somone else.

Probably not, but the Verano is supposed to get the turbo 2 liter late 2012.

No, the Verano is using the Cruze's chasis and powertrain. Just imagine a mini insignia and you have a Verano.

Cruze chassis, but the powertrain will be similar to the Regal with a base 2.4 and later optional 2.0 turbo.
