My intake ported

My exhaust ported

Don't mean to thread jack but since we are showing off our port jobs I figured I would post mine too. Lol. You should have some decent power with what you are doing. I wish I had kept my TVS sometimes.

Very nice Dark. Your ports look a lot smoother than mine. I think I heard somewhere the intake port is supposed to be a little rough. Not sure why maybe someone can chime in.

Side note: My intake came today, the last piece I need to run (far as I know) So I'm hoping to fire it up this weekend. If I don't run into any trouble with sensors and timing.

You want to keep the intake slightly rough to keep fuel from puddling on the port floor.
The roughness creates vortex's on the port floor that keeps fuel atomized

Tonight: Cam gear bolts torqued, cam caps bolted down, lobes lubed, block surfaced cleaned and scraped,

now the ARP head studs: directions say screw them in hand tight, they have an allen head on top to help turn them since they are oily. I used an allen head and turned them till they were snug I think that will do? Got the holes cleaned out best I could but there was still some girgling when screwing the studs in.

screw them in with an allen key until they bottom out, then back them off about 1/4-1/8 of a turn. Then put the nuts on and torque to spec.

Also, don't forget to put the assembly lube on the threads that screw into the block.

dont copper spray head gaskets, I went through a few last year spraying them. If using a stock one at least.
The stock gasket has a sealant on it itself. Cometic I suppose its your call.
And as tyler said, back them off.
Look at you giving out useful information

I'm pretty sure you went with stock HG didn't you? If so, you don't need to do anything with it

I would have had the head on tonight if I had someone to hold the timing chain. I think I'll have to wait till saturday morning to get the head on and timed
