HOLY CRAP WHAT!

White smoke means you ballooned the cylinder wall and the chatter is metal flying around in the combustion chamber. I blew my sleeve the second time not fully tooned and had the boost controller too far turned up because it was on backwards and I didnt turn it the right way.

I cant believe this, I am so sad your build went this route. If you decide to do a full rebuild get the mrbelvedere sleeves. They are the best BANG for the buck.

I feel like you and I were building our blocks together. I would come check in here periodically to see the progress, feeling really crappy for you right now.

Yeah man. A lot of people are telling me to keep the blower and just rebuild. I just don't think I'm gonna. I'm moving to a big city next year with no garage to work on stuff so I need reliablility. This may be my wakeup call to just return to stock. Its sad for sure

Nah man you can't think like that. It's the joys of modding. It has it's ups and downs. Especially once you start pushing it. If you are able to, drive something else, build the motor and put er back the same way. I know it's depressing and frustrating but don't let it discourage you.

i have been in the same process. Got my build done, tuned and made 400+ then the turbo started to go (thought it was boost leak), then the timing chain guide broke, then my ebrake broke, stupid GM crap, sooo...

I ordered a new MITSU turbo rebuild kit for 130 bucks, ordered a new ebrake, then this week I went in and replaced my timing bolts with stronger 10.9 grade bolts and now the car runs like a BEAST again until the turbo starts to pee oil a bit. I should have my 400 hp back when I do the turbo rebuild this weekend. Its always something and I have always just fixed it. I am not going to let this car beat me.

See that just it man, I envy you being able to do that and keep on it. However we aren't in the same boat. I decided to say **** the police and go ***** out knowing if something happened I wouldn't have the money to fix it. YOLO right? haha. Now I'll have to find a way to pay for whatever is wrong, that may mean selling parts. **** happens I guess

Still in the process yes. I'm not blaming the tune at all as of now. I'm leaning toward a broken timing component causing total carnage. I'll find out friday night. Sounded bad when I pulled out, shouldn't have even drove down the road

Thats correct. Also the night before I was logging until late. it was raining and I think I may have sucked up some water because it was running rough at the end. It could be so many different things its not even funny

Yea man that sucks. I'm sure it wasn't tuned related tho, seems like problems happened way too soon for it too be. Yea water is no bueno, especially in the tuning process
