Well I haven't, It isolates the I/m From the hot ass engine. Diff when I took mine off was being cool enough to touch vs too hot to hold my hand on for a couple seconds. Cooler mani = cooler dense air..

Moving on I guess..

hey josh, are you just using 80s and an rsfs with the e, or are you using a higher flowing fuel pump or dual in-tank pumps from zzp?

with the intake off. it really makes you want to route the hot side under the engine and do a wire tuck.

I think our fuel pump is good for 600, I am thinking all you need is 80's and brfs, no return needed.

Single 225, nothing special. The pump isn't much of an issue, it's simple to swap. And right now his car isn't using even stock fuel pressure, so there's plenty of capacity. If we were forcing the pump to hit 80 psi then you might start to see it struggle.

Don't skimp on the return, it's much easier that way. It really doesn't add much cost or complexity over changing out the pump and adding a regulator anyway, just do it right the first time and don't worry about it again.

Return style is super easy. I can set you up a kit for relatively cheap.

c130, I didnt get to run my car much after installing it, my piston rings quit on me. Ill check out some of my old logs and then let you know once the car is going again

I don't know about your boost levels josh but all I'm on in the 1000s stock pump no return no issues. A lot have people run them like that. Only time I'd upgrade the pump is if ur car is an 05

^This... An OTTP kit is not needed, they're too expensive. I made my own and it works well! Easy too install too, I made mine with all GM fuel connects so no cutting of stock lines needed.

I actually have been doing a lot of reading and the guys that arent depending on the forums for their information arent running a return style. The guy running my turbo dropped a sleeve in the block because his meth failed. His fuel system was stock. There seems to be a lot of bad information on the boards, we are all guilty of repeating what we have heard, bad and good. Even zzp has stated this. I am doing it right the first time and not worrying about it again. LOL on a stock fuel system.

zrated89 makes my point, he is even running a more fuel hungry blower. My turbo wont need near his 1000cc.

I already have an rsfs in my ride.

thanks. I'll talk to zzp then because their dual pump system looks interesting...but I'm not gonna put it in just to be interesting. I'd like to stick with 80's if possible.

Want to know what ryan@zzp runs for fueling?

Dual in tank pumps, surge tank, return style fuel system with a fuel lab regulator and 190lb/hr injectors.

Yes he runs a return style. Rising rate regulators help out a ton

LOL @ 800+hp, I love wasting hours reading these forums but there are just some things that unnecessary at < power levels.

He only runs it around 615whp btw

All I'm saying is that with larger injectors, a boost referenced return style is great. The lower pressure at idle helps get the injector milliseconds down and easier to tune

I personally cant wait to get my car running start logging and learn what works and what doesnt. I have been told however to this point that its just not neccessary, that there is too much talk on the forums and I am worrying too much. But from the 20G standpoint, I personally will not out use my fuel pressure, 60lb injectors, stock fuel pump at 24psi and 7500rpm.

Everyones needs are different, Unless you have a built block and run 400+ (just a point that I would worry more about fuel needs) not seeing a problem with our stock rail, fuel system, etc.

Doubt your going to have enough injector on the 60's with 24psi and 7500rpm. I would look for a set of 80's if you intend on doing that.

I wont start there but will work my way there. Going to watch to see the INJ duty cycle. If it gets over say 90 percent (80 to be even safer) I will go to the next Inj size. I sure that will be my next upgrade as I grow with my mods.
