Well I'm a college kid building on a budget so 4k is expensive to me I'm not a novice I already did my supercharger build and clutch and rebuilt a ford ranger engine hoping that the turbo kit won't mess up my engine I plan on getting head studs is that prob a good idea? Zzp says you can run the turbo kit on a stock internal engine (which I have) but it has 81k should I just do cams pistons valves? Might be cheaper and safer?

so ya my phone rings at 12:30 am and it's my tuner/mechanic.....and he doesn't sound so happy. Tells me my car made at most 250hp on the dyno then on the 7th pull just loses power...
So now I'm like well
what happened. I hope its something simple and not the motor or turbo poping... Still the power numbers being that low from the get go wtf gives.. Hope I'll get better news tomorrow.

sounds like rings were going out. or something else was wrong. and then buh bye.
i only put down 346 on 21psi with a 3076 on a hurt motor. that's a 430whp setup all day long. few months later number 4 said i quit life.

question! i have 98k on a stock block and i have a s20g at 22psi im looking to go a little higher but i want to kno how do the lsj's take abuse at such high mileage? should i keep it as is or as long as the motor is maintained i "should" be fine. also i run 5w30 oil if that makes any difference.
he thought also maybe a spun rod bearing? Either way I'm screwed cus I barely had enough for the turbo change and stuff as is...

Question guys. The alternator that I got for y kit is bad, can I just use my old LSj alternator? Or what kind do I need? Please help cars running though and everything sounds great!' Ill post pics later today

Hey guys, my LSJ-T is starting to spew black smoke really bad once I get into boost. I'm thinking tune, thoughts?
