Could have unthreaded the lower port and put it into the top too if thats the issue.
I have always ran reference straight from compressor to lower port, then mani-> bc-> top port. That way if the bc sticks shut, you will run spring pressure.
If you run compressor port-> bc-> lower wg port, your bc operates backwards. And if your bc sticks shut, you have NO wg. Holy boosta.

Should not operate backwards, thats how we do it on all of our cars (not me yet, no turbo duh!) with a hallman pro and works correctly and never had any issues. I understand the backup line in case something pops off, but we just use good lines and good ties so we don't have the extra ugly vac lines. If its held 40+ lbs for years on my friend's cars its good enough for me lol. I can understand taking the precautions though.

The other key part of running it with both ports is then you can use the stock sc bypass solenoid to pull back and/or ramp 1st gear boost as well as set a ramp for all other gears, also allowing you to pull boost for iat's (yeah right) or coolant temps.

Dat boost by 1 gear! lol utilizing the SC parts for the turbo...I see what you did there.

My factory BCS will go in the garbage right next to the Evap nonsense. Another eye sore I get to finally take out of the engine bay. On 2nd thought, I will be needing it elsewhere. But I can finally get rid of that ugly ass dual pass plumbing!!!! So excited for that. I've hated it since the day I put it on. I just don't like how ugly our bays are from factory in general. Spaghetti junction off to the right of the VC, and for once I'm not hungry for pasta.

My sympathy to you and her both. As of now they think its just gluten sensitivity, so trying this for a while. I do feel better but finding food sucks.

I have close friends who are celiacs. I can't imagine. I love my food, and just about everything they can't have are some of my favorite things.

On the topic of turbo stuff, since I got yelled at in another thread for being off topic lol, I'll be posting in here more soon, just gotta get the other car running then I can give some attention to my swap.

So who thinks I should rip the factory BCS off for a cleaner engine bay and just be a man. Or leave it on so I can have the limited boost by gear? I'm undecided. Oh and Alan, my new EV6 harness will be here tomorrow

Clean. Throw everything unnecessary in teh garbage lol. Run sticky tires, you'll spin, but you'll still be moving forward. Don't expect sticky tires to last though lol

Since this thread originated from the guy who owned my guy before me...

Worth it to spend $4,400 on ZZP's complete kit, or just piece one together?

Figured you all would know the best.

This is what I'm leaning towards, I know how good of deals they were last year!

I also am leaning more towards this... the only thing with me considering piecing together a kit is it let's me space out the money I spend. While I don't have a problem paying for quality, it's just easier if I don't have to lose it all with a click of the "order" button haha

And there's no way I'm putting it on a credit card

If you know what you're getting and what you want, it can be a lot cheaper piecing. It was for me. BUT, my setup is far different than a typical turbo swap. And I got some insane deals along the way.

Alright sorry to jump into this thread again in the middle of a bunch of discussions i barely comprehend lol.
Just have a couple questions .

1) How much would the turbo kit go down/what would be my chances of getting one with the discount or whatever? It won't be this black friday, but if I waited until say next black friday, would it be best to wait (buying the full ZZP kit) or would I just be pissed b/c I didn't get the sale and wasted a bunch of time?

2) If I go turbo, what would be better catback wise? ZZP 3" Resonated/catted, or catless/no resonator?

3) (not turbo related really) Are there any good coilovers for our cars? I know of the variant 2's , but are they really almost 2 grand? Are they "worth it" in terms of a smooth ride + the low?

all i can think of for now
