Official TVS Thread!!!
RSFS ordered for my upcoming build finally.
I need help picking out a pump, I want something that requires the least amount of modification to fit and that will provide all my fueling needs. I keep hearing the 044 will be good. Any other options?
Setup will be:
TVS w/2.6 and ATI, head/cams, E85, RSFS, fic1200

AEM 320 E85 pump should be enough as long as you can keep the canister full of fuel. I never had an issue with my 255 and re-wire, even when I revved to 8100 at the track, although i wouldn't recommend the 255 or DW300 when better options are available which will leave you enough headroom. Personally I've seen better things about the AEM 320 over the Walbro 450. I had a walbro 450 die as well.
It's a fun setup, I know from experience

not completely false the main purpose of the canister is to cool the pump if the canister was the main means for fuel pickup then it would have only 1 sock and it would be on the inside of the canister and no way to pull fuel from the outside of the canister well its not like that its main feed comes from the tank sump and it is restricted so it will pull very very little fuel from the canister to keep cooler fuel circulating around the pump that is why is has a filter sock on the inside bottom of the canister that is the only reason I could come up with for the pump needing to filter socks
If what you said was true, Taylor drilling hole in his canister would have made no change, and zzp would be liars about Matt's setup.
Also 04-05 and 06-07 canisters are different. 06-07's (at least the one in my 07) has the pump hook up to the bottom of the can with the filter on the bottom exterior of the canister. My 05 the filter sits inside the canister with only that screen (restrictor) to allow fuel into the can.
Where exactly is the restrictor or check vakve on the pumps and what does it look like?
I wonder if that's causing part my issue. I've dropped the tank several times and wonder if I overlooked this
